Bruh i can't even think of where to start praising TVXQ or this song lmao. This song is all kinds of epic, you're obviously feeling it as well from this reaction hehe XD Their choreo is hella clean as well, always a pleasure to watch them dance! And Changmin's vocals are insane! Those high notes holy moly! I can never forget that comment i saw last time where a Cassie was saying, "If Changmin doesn't scream, it's not a TVXQ song", and i agree fully with that, although he toned it down in recent years XD Still the Gods of the East after so many years ^-^

Yesss some TVXQ appreciation! This was such an epic comeback for them since it's the first song they released together as a duo after their long hiatus due to JYJ's departure from the group and it remains to be one of their most iconic songs. As always, Changmin's high notes are amazing. Not sure if you decided to look up the lyrics, but it's basically a break up song and also a big f-u to the person who didn't appreciate or respect them when they were together. In the beginning of the song, they mention that after breaking up with the girl, other people who heard the news automatically blamed them as being the cause and not the girl. But the reality is, it was the girl who was two-faced, always lied, and trampled on their feelings. For the phrase "Keep Your Head Down", there's this verse that says: "(If it’s a sin) If loving you was a sin (If that was a sin) If being genuine is a sin (I’ll keep it low, I’ll keep it low) I’ll hold it in and stand my ground" Even though they feel it's unfair, they are "keeping their head down" because they know the only thing they're guilty of is being in love. They were the only one being sincere in the relationship and aren't immature like their past lover. As the song progresses, they talk about how she took advantage of their feelings since she felt that they couldn't survive without her: "(You’ve always believed) that I’d crumble without you That’s a misunderstanding, why would I do that? why are you like that, why are you like that, I told you I wouldn’t" But the truth is they already dropped whatever feelings they had left for her for good so they can be happy in the future. Then in comes their epic marching band dance break and once we reach the end, the last verses of the song say: "(Why?) Why (Why?) You let go of our love so easily (Why?) Did you ever think that someone would get worried? (Why?) I don’t think you know yet (Why?) Exactly just what you let go of (Why?) Just remain there and watch me grow (Keep your head down) Erased, disappeared, you’ve burned to death in my heart (Keep your head down) Erased, disappeared, you’ve died in my heart and you no longer exist" Definitely a cool break up song. My girl Moonbyul has great taste in being a TVXQ stan lol

The kings who performed in Nissan stadium under heavy rain for 3 hours without a mistake last year. It's them. The song in itself is a legend because they came back as a duo and said y'all can stfu and keep your dumb heads down we are here to rule. Imagine the goosebumps when they performed this in the fucking Nissan stadium in Japan in 2015 the whole country was shaking. I cried and I didn't even knew them back then. Dude the worst thing you did is deprive yourself off TVXQ lol. There are no words to describe their music and performance level.

And that is why their name is Rising Gods of the East. I think "Keep Your Head Down" is one of their songs that fits their name well. TVXQ is the acronym that makes up the words of their name in Chinese (DBSK in Korean and Tohoshinki in Japanese) And this song was designed to show just how powerful they were. It was meant to prove to everyone that even as a duo they would continue to be the Gods that their name represented. Ever since debut SM wanted TVXQ to have God-like status and Changmin and U-Know personify that with songs like this one. "Keep Your Head Down" was their first comeback after splitting from JYJ and it was the performance that solidified them as two of the top artists in the industry This song showed everyone just how capable they were as artists -- that they could continue as just the two of them and never miss a beat.They are one of the most powerful and well respected duos, and with more than 15 years in the industry, there is no doubt they have legendary status -- and they are still blowing people away with their talent.

You know, i have never understood how SM thinks TVXQ is the acronym in Chinese all these years LOL! As a Chinese, it makes me laugh everytime haha. Maybe it looks weird i guess, since it would have been DFSQ (东方神起) 😂😂😂
@milindawilson91755 жыл бұрын
@@CJKpoprox The main reason they use TVXQ is probably because SM liked what it sounded like in English. After all TVXQ is also what they are known most as in English as well. You have to admit it has a certain ring to it. It's an interesting combination of letters in English and with TV in the name it makes them sound like they might be big stars in the entertainment industry or something which is the type of image SM would have wanted to evoke when they were coming up with the name in the first place. How SM explains it is they say it stands for Tong Vfang Xien Qi (I have no idea if that is an accurate translation of "Rising Gods of the East" in Chinese or not. I just know that's what SM says.) :D
@CJKpoprox5 жыл бұрын
@@milindawilson9175 I saw how they showed the acronym before but didn't think of the 'TV' thing, that's interesting, thanks! But if you want to know, the Chinese hanyupinyin(romanisation) is Dong Fang Shen Qi haha
@milindawilson91755 жыл бұрын
@@CJKpoprox Haha that's interesting. Thanks for the information. I have never actually looked it up, I just took SM's word for it. :D Who knows why they decided to create their own spelling / translation of it. You're probably right, they liked the sound and spelling of it better this way and decided to use the translation only very loosely in order to sound more international. ;P. After all, you know how SM has always been striving to take over the world. It began even in the early days with groups like TVXQ. :D
