We are all responsible for every single one of our actions, including the ones born out of trauma. If you genuinely think that me advising people not to stick around people that treat them like trash is a "mean" thing to do, then I truly, truly hope you never meet a toxic person in your life. Luckily, this is just a character, and brings no negative consequences to us, but being friends with someone like this in real life brings very real consequences. Nah, she's definitely mean as well as ignorant. Calling her friend "hideous" and insulting her for wearing a shirt 2 times is mean. Constantly threatening to kick her out of the friend group if she doesn't look as good as them or what she believes to be as good as them, making fun of her, telling her to cancel her other plans to hang out with them otherwise she doesn't deserve to be friends with them, that's all mean and shallow. I see what you mean by "she's just trying to help her friend", but the title is most definitely more accurate with "fake friend" because a real friend doesn't do those things. It's 100% a friendship based on being "better than" the others in the group and tearing one another down to boost one's own ego.

@@feyza4101 hello, thank you for the concern! Those "friends" were my classmates. Indeed, they wore me down, i used to have heavy depression and actually attempted su*cide (they weren't just rude. They blackmailed me and made sure i didn't have anyone except them. Also s*xual abuse involved) This year i moved schools, cut all contact with them, and met my new amazing class. I'm thriving now, but i have cPTSD from that time. How about you?

I'm guessing your mood, it must be really tough but please don't give up and don't hurt yourself. Me? I used to be traumatized for a different reason and those around me were unaware of it. Stress disorder really bad. I had friends like that too, but before things got worse, I cut off contact with them, even though it was difficult.
