I wish to God they would just make a TW350 with a rear disc brake & a 6-speed transmission. So many people are in love with a TW as it is.. But if they would just address a couple of the shortcomings of the existing bike T-Dubs would be selling like hotcakes!

ddstdub....you have built my dream bike...I camt wait to see more!! I can not fathom why yamaha won't make a tw250, tw300, so forth amd so on. It's such a popular and the best looking bike EVER. I wish i had your skills amd tools bc I would do the exact same thing. Please make more videos of the bike man! For the love of God let us see more. Shout out to the JIS screwdrivers from Vessel!!! Nothing like it. They even fit US #2 phillips better!! Just got an 07 tdub and had been researching what other engines fit and this popped up! If you get to the upstate give us shout, we ride N Ga a good bit. Great trails up that way! Thanks for sharing this little build man.

Great point about getting a JIS screwdriver, so many people butcher Japanese screws buy using the wrong screwdriver.

Outstanding build! I only recently caught part-1, so the wait til' part-2 went by fairly quickly! 😂 This sort of customization is where it's at, and you did an awesome job! [I've built a handful of customs from scratch and then a few hybrids also] It's a lot of fun and most definitely worth it all in the long run.. Before I forget.. 'Camera-Girl'... Excellent Job! These videos were so clear, in focus, well lit, etc. Very nicely done! I think that of all the toys in your driveway, if you were doing a give-away of just one.. I'd have to choose the TDub. When it comes time to rebuild the carb on my TW200, that constant velocity piece of trash is going right in the recycle bin and getting replaced with a Mikuni 28mm VM round slide.

Still happy with the swap? What would you personally value the swap at if one were to put a price on it? Debating picking up a running XT225, doing the swap, then parting the rest of the bike to recoup costs.

Great videos. I love to see people do what others say can’t be done or not worth doing it, trade the bike in for something better. I would love to do the same swap. Is there a specific reason you chose an xt engine? Motor mounts the same?

Absolutely loved this. We need some on board riding footage to see the difference in power! After all the effort you put in, do you feel like it was worth it? My dream bike would be a TW with 22hp and a 6 speed transmission and some fork springs and emulators. I think this spring I'll pull the trigger on a TW finally. Unfortunately I don't have any riding footage worthy of uploading. But i will say it feels more responsive and the engine feels peppier with the current rear sprocket and six speed transmission. It was definitely worth it. I did the swap primarily for the 6 speed. My girlfriend rides a 2019 TW200 and she would easily pull away from me when riding around town. Power to weight ratio. With this upgrade I can easily keep up with her.

I can cruise comfortably at 60-65 with out feeling like I'm going to blow the engine up. I also put on a 47 tooth rear sprocket when I did the swap.

How much larger is that XT tank over a stock TW. ?? Is it a direct swap. I haven’t seen part 1 yet. 👍👍

The xt350 tank is 3.1 gallons so a gain of 1.3 over the tw200 stock tank. It is not a direct swap over. You need to modify the rear tank mount and add handle bar risers. www.tw200forum.com/threads/xt350-gas-tank-install.67928/#post-1042568

I used the xt225 header pipe and an FMF slip on muffler designed for the TW200. I used the OEM TW200 and installed larger jets.

Looking good on that TW200! How tall are you, and what's your weight?

I'm 5' 9" (about 175cm) weight 195-200 lbs (about 90kg). I've stiffened up the suspension so the bike sits up a little high and doesn't sag as much as a stock Tdub when i sit on it. I can still comfortably touch the ground with the balls of my feet . In stock form I could flat foot and have a little bend in my knee.
