I'm always amazed at how different tires can ride and handle so differently. The only problem is it takes a while to try enough tires to zero in on the one that works best for you.

I think I found a keeper with this tire 😃 There is really no other option but to go with a stock replacement tire for the rear, so that really narrows things down…although some people do fit an ATV tire as mentioned in the vid. I might look into it but I’m not a fan of how close the clearance between the swing arm and tire gets.🤷🏻♂️ We’ll see!

Welcome to the club! Some of us have been singing the praises of the 241 for over five years. Doing the front suspension with proper springs and emulators is THE best mod you can do for the bike IMHO. I recommend 5wt. fork fluid and just dropping in the emulators unadjusted. 130mm from the top with springs out and forks fully collapsed. Don't forget to pump out the air bubbles. A 241, suspension work, wider foot pegs and a Seat Concepts make it a far different and better steed than stock. Good luck, and enjoy!

Cornering is much improved vs the stock tire or the 244. Tire choice is such a personalized thing that its hard to say if you would like a knobby vs a trial style. If you’re not riding on the street then I would consider a 100% off road tire. It will be much more grippy/gummy vs a 50/50 dual sport tire.

I really appreciate the response. These take 50% of the range off electric bikes, because they're a lot heavier than the tissue paper thin tires that come on electric bicycles, so I'm thinking about if I want to make that sacrifice, if they give some supreme grip in bad weather. Something along the lines of studs in each of these nubs during the winter, or just to ride on fields and roads in the rain. It's a tough one.

Did you use a standard tube with this tire?
@TillDeathDualUsSport5 жыл бұрын
I had it installed at Cycle Gear so I didn't even ask what he threw in there.

Can you recommend tires for street and dirt?
@TillDeathDualUsSport4 жыл бұрын
Andy G The combo of the 241 and stock rear tire have been more than adequate. There’s not many options for the TW. It’s probably safe to say that any 50/50 DOT rated tire would do the job.

Till Death Dual Us Sport cool thanks, just got a TDUB and looking for places to ride with my kid that I won’t get in trouble since I’m still working on getting my license. I’m in Lake Elsinore any recommendation?
@TillDeathDualUsSport4 жыл бұрын
I don’t think a license is required to ride at a designated OHV park, but I’m not 100% positive. If that’s the case and no license is needed, then your best bet would be Wildomar OHV.

How is the 241 in sand?
@TillDeathDualUsSport4 жыл бұрын
MiKe Merkweki Decent I guess. I’ve done a good amount of sand riding and I’m convinced that a tire, unless it’s a paddle, has little to do with sand performance. I believe it really boils down to rider skill.
