TWA Flight 800 - Crash Animation

Trans World Airlines Flight 800 (TWA 800) was a Boeing 747-100 that exploded and crashed into the Atlantic Ocean near East Moriches, New York, on July 17, 1996, at about 8:31 p.m. EDT, 12 minutes after takeoff from John F. Kennedy International Airport on a scheduled international passenger flight to Rome, with a stopover in Paris. All 230 people on board died in the crash; it is the third-deadliest aviation accident in U.S. history. Accident investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) traveled to the scene, arriving the following morning amid speculation that a terrorist attack was the cause of the crash.Consequently, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and New York Police Department (FBI-NYPD) Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) initiated a parallel criminal investigation. Sixteen months later, the JTTF announced that no evidence of a criminal act had been found and closed its active investigation.

Bit of history here...this a/craft had arrived from Athens Hellenikon before leaving again for Rome FCO via Paris CDG when it crashed. On the same day, my family and I were all in CDG, waiting for our flight to Athens...as we were overbooked and rescheduled to fly for the day after, we got a hotel room, where we saw the news on TV. Didn't see much of the surrounding mayhem, as we were leaving from Terminal 3 at CDG, whereas TWA 800 was scheduled to arrive at Terminal 1. Needless to say, I was pretty scared to fly the day after...

If you research the paranormal hypnotherapist Dr. Bruce Goldberg his book "Self Hypnosis" refers to a story of a woman who used hypnosis to see a premonition of a trip in which she planned booking a flight to be on TWA Flight 800. In the premonition she saw that the flight was doomed killing everyone including her. So she changed her travel plans and lived. I've always wonder if the creators of Final Destination aware and inspired by this story.

just imagine everyone hearing the explosion of the center engine. The pilot and copilot looking through the cockpit window, accepting their deaths as they plummet toward the water. The passengers screaming and crying, hugging eachother as they see the front section of the plane break off. Imainge their thoughts as they stop going up and start to fall to the ocean. The poor people holding onto their seats for dear life as the plane angles down more and more. Tragedy.

don’t know if that cockpit part was exactly accurate, according to some news information the pilots were likely instantly killed (and so was probably everyone in the nose section or near it) when the explosion occurred, also it was found that captain Snyder was blown free from the plane while captain Kevorkian was found still strapped to his seat.

In most cases, no. There can be a depresserization explosion, apu explosion, engine explosion etc. Even a bomb. It matters when it is in weak parts of the airplane. A bomb does not always cause an airplane to "die". In deppressurizarion all the pilots have to do is put on oxygen masks and descsnt as fast as possible (very steep descent). Engine explosion is not a first timer neither. They are desgined to contain the explosion and arnt really the problem to be concerned about. Apu explosion happens less and is more dangerous since its inside the plane. It can weaken the airframe and ignite fuel in the back. Chance of survival definitely reduced but the pilots will not give up. Even if explosion damages hydraulic lines theyll use power to control lift and do their best to land somewhere safe. (may i say apu are most of the time off when engines are started) Now a bomb..well that will probably kill some people in the process either by the explosion or by getting sucked out as a hole will definitely form. Control wires run through the air frame (top and below) so if any of those are damaged then yes the PIC will have trouble controlling the plane but again they can still control it somewhat using engine power. To summarise lmao; its not the end of the world really. Its the end of the world if the cockpit seperates and elevator/rudder/ailerons are stuck in not a neutral position. Cause then theres noone to control pitch/roll/yaw and engines may jusy spool up to max as well.

A beautiful and immensely touching music, isn't it? This is the first movement of Symphony No. 3: 'Symphony of Sorrowful Songs' by the Polish composer Henryk Mikolaj Gorecki. I'm so happy to see someone take interest in this ethereal melody which is so popular that often ripped off the original context and pasted to random videos. (Having said that, I agree Mayday is a great choice to accompany this masterpiece.) For me, contemporary symphonies are often either too screechy, jerky or tone-deaf to natural human feelings. Among them, this one is a pure gem. You need no explanation to appreciate it.

Of course the official version is total BS. Saudia had the exact same type of aircraft (741), with a much hotter climate than JFK, thus requiring much more air con on the ground. Not to mention they often used those for medium haul flights, which means the center wing tank was often empty. And maintenance was not as rigorous as TWA's. Yet they never lost any aircraft because of faulty wiring, in 30-something years of operations...

No it was not a missile the fule tank exploded because the plane was stuck at the gate for over a hour and it was hot outside and inside. Because of a suite case because the owner was not onboard. Because they could not leave the gate because of PAN AM flight 103 that exploded because of a suite case. The owner was not onboard in that incident. And on TWA flight 800 the air condition was on max because on the first 747s the fule tank was over the air conditioning so the fule tank was like a bomb. So in the plane it was over 80 degrees. So the missing passenger was onboard. When TWA flight 800 left the gate the plane was a bomb because the wires was bad. The wires was fixed using tape and some of them was broken. The plane take off over a hour late and now it was in fule tank 127 degrees.12 min after take off the atc tells twa flight 800 to climb to 15 000 feet and the pilot starts to climb and. The hig voltage wire starts to do its thing and it passed the fule tank wire and the wires is damaged. So the hig voltage wire gives some energy to the fule tank wire and it gets to the fule tank and explodes. The explosion dose so the nose breaks of a couple seconds later killing everyone onboard but 19 passengers survives. And the plane climbs to 16 000 feet and stalls and nose dives to the sea killing the 19 passengers onboard
