It's so true, there are kid's books that can get pretty boring for me real fast and that gets seconded by my son when he says "That's not my favourite book". I wish he says early on, but he's being nice to let me finish it. I love how you interpreted when they uncover the idea themselves rather than handing it to them. That's one lesson I wanted him to learn with reading books. It's about discovering. Thank you for sharing this video.

CzarinaKehoe Yes! Discovery is so key. We’ve weeded our the twaddle books from our library slowly through the years- but some are difficult to get rid of if it’s a kid’s favorite Disney character or something, lol

Unschooling mom here! I hadn't heard of Twaddle before, but have definitely come across it. During "middle school" my daughter loved reading my unabridged Riverside Shakespeare so much that she would carry it with her everywhere. Kids love literature if you give them a chance to dive in.
