In this video we are going to upgrade the brakes, lower the rear and replace wheel studs on the gmc sierra. This process will also work on chevy silverado as well ask tahoe and yukon. I show you how to upgrade to big rear brakes and how to go from a single piston caliper in the rear to a dual piston caliper. This big brake upgrade for gmc sierra and Chevy sliverado uses parts from another gm vehicle so it is a bolt on upgrade. I also show you how to replace a damaged or broken wheel stud or lug stud on a gmc sierra, chevy silverado, chevy tahoe or gmc yukon. While we have it apart I wanted to lower it a little. I show you how to remove the lift block in the rear and add lowering shackles. This brings down the rear of your silverado or sierra about 3.5 inches. All these brake, brake line and drop make a huge difference in performance and stopping. Hit the comments and let me know what you think.

I have to admit Travis, that truck looks pretty darn good lowered. I never say that I’m more of a stock look kind of guy like it had at first but lowering it and taking off those fender flares really made the truck look nice. Nice job man.

Give this truck the same lowering you did to the white (‘05?) Tahoe years back. Flip kit the rear, (get rid of the thin drop shackles) then add drop spindles and drop torsion keys up front. Also add some Belltech StreetPerformance shocks. You won’t be happy unless you do.

You should only have three leafs per side so I think someone either did add a leafs or changed the leaf pack all together with a hd pack so if you change those out it will get you a little more drop sir .

I noticed it has a add a leaf to. Normally they only have 3 leafs + the over load. The blocks are factory to btw. 4wd came with them.

The rear definitely can sit lower I believe you have an extra leaf spring my 06 crewcab did have the factory lift blocks also.

Wouldnt salvage parts or a kit/parts for a 2002/2003 Tahoe have worked? Thats what I have seen other guys do, and what I plan to do to my 2000 GMC Sierra. My kids 2002 Tahoe has dual piston calipers front and back, factory. What size is the new rotor? Same size as original? I looked on the amazon website you posted, but it didnt say. PS I plan to put 2019 silverado 4 piston calipers on the front too. Need the stoppong power hauling water trailers into the desert for our wildlife animal drinkers, and over rutted dirt trails and hills.
