That trial where Troy just barely missed it is a great example of how the hidden weight stat that determines air time is one of the most important stats in MK Wii.

@@WiiLord95 You can, I've done it by jump-tricking over the rail and going in between the branches of the tree on the left. The shortcut is a bit finicky, as sometimes it doesn't give you a good re-spawn, putting you at the bottom instead of the top.

I haven’t watched the video fully yet, but the shortcut is really easy, you were just doing it wrong, you start drifting way later and take a tight turn into then grass and pull back it’s really consistent once you get it down

You probably realized this already, but what a lot of people do on the gap cut (Luke included, if you watch back), is to hold one drift and then do TF input. Whether you do that or hop trick is your preference.

Troy, here's a tip. For the gap jump do tf strat on the ramp. I find the cut easy doing that

Hey Troy, can I suggest driving a lap without the shortcut and taking the ramp on the right instead of the left on the split, because I love that end section. (I'm also pretty new to the game, so, except for that shortcut, I don't really think the track is that beginner unfriendly)

I feel like you could have shaved more time off if you had looked at the WR again halfway through. You can avoid the bats by going inside first, then adjusting. You can probably also save some time if you know how to do the last bit.
