I'm consistently impressed by this channel. I started watching 10-11 years ago with Rate That Custom Track and loved that. Watched on and off, but was all-in on Road to 9999 VR 5-6 years ago, and again later on with NMeade 3-4 years ago. And I come back again and have been *incredibly* into these Knockout series videos. Went back to watch the 10 day 150CC knockout from a month ago and it was *incredible*. Facecam era Troy appears to be better than ever. It's so impressive that no matter when I jump back into this channel there's always incredibly entertaining MKWii to watch in a new creative format.

1:34:22 Malware's greatest nighmare, poor guy. Despite being in last place, he somehow gets caught in the blue shell explosion after the intended target, Troy, comes to a complete stop in the middle of the road - absolutely brutal. After being blue-shelled Troy waits at the set for two items, giving Malware enough time to drive around him in a desperate attempt to regain some ground as first and second place disappear over the horizon. Little does he know that the two items Troy has just pulled are a red shell and a bomb with his name on them. Troy connects the red shell on Malware, immediately passing him back up. Just when it seems like it couldn't get any worse, without warning, an unavoidable back-bomb obliterates any chance of recovery. Triple combo'd in last place. From last to uber-last. Race over on lap one. Funniest thing I've ever watched.

KO tourney idea: 5 points for a bonus but no item boxes on the track. The very first race would be itemless, but it could quickly spiral out of control and feel like item rain due to the sheer number of items

While I didn't do well in this ko, it felt actually kinda cool playing 24 player since there hasn't been much (if any) others hosting in at least 2 years. GG's, was rooting for malware to win but top 3 for them is great!

As I mentioned on my first comment, Empex ends the first GP with 69 points! Noice. Dicey on the Sprinter in GP2! Sprinter is my personal favorite vehicle, and the last vehicle I unlocked when I played the game for the first time. 26:48, did 1st get POWed off the edge? Crazy timing! 49:55, Chloride is a menace! Taking Troy down with her. It's always so satisfying just to watch all the little perfect plays Troy makes. Like when he hopped over the last bit of off-road at the end of his shortcut at 53:08. He really got his mileage out of that Golden Mushroom! 1:07:55, this track is trippy! I've never seen it before. 1:11:43, My good gosh. Melting Magma Melee is daunting. I always forget just how insane it is. So impressive to watch Troy drive it. From the make-shift shortcut to. . . well the whole thing! Also, I must say that I like the aesthetic of the track. The treacherous thin ice passing over and weaving around an abyss of lava! I feel that this track really tests the limits of Mario Kart Wii physics. 1:15:31, a well deserved break! I imagine it would feel grand to play at such a high level and for so long. Mario Kart Wii will always be my favorite ESport. 1:16:13, I love all the little interactions in this game! They just bring me so much pleasure. This game generates so many little amazing and interesting moments organically. Not that this little star moment is particularly insane, but I just enjoy this game for exactly what it is-- way too much! 1:16:42, all the decision making! All the little moments that decide fate! So good. 1:21:36, respect to Rock Sea for karting it so far! 1:30:00, so HYPE! The Shortcut Master gets first place and barely survives on his favorite track! That race at 1:36:35 was so riveting! Troy fought for his LIFE and came so close! Empex wins! He's always one of my favorite contestants to watch! . . . Even if his taste in tracks is. . . interesting. XD Jokes aside, congrats to him! And respect to Cal for an awesome 2nd place! Shadow's music pack is so good for the atmosphere! And Troy's got a great personality. There's literally nothing not to enjoy! I'm a busy man. Movie night? Skip. A Troy video? The longer the better! I can binge it, or watch it off and on over the course of the day as I find the time. Just a collection of my thoughts as I watched. Of course out of all the KOs I had to participate in after not being in a Troy KO/room in over a year and a half was probably the worst idea of a KO Troy has ever had. Nonetheless, had a lot of fun even though I got out over two CTs I don't know that well. Some stats i found interesting: 12 MKW tracks, 7 retro customs, and 19 original designs were picked, so exactly 50% were courses designed by Nintendo and 50% were original designs! Also interesting is that 12 of the 19 original design picks came in the second half of the tournament. Fascinating that in a tournament with so many track options, tracks from the base game were played almost a third of the time

For a 10 day series, what about: 3 eliminations per race 30 point bonuses 2 points for winning the KO 1 point for 2nd and 3rd (to enable 24 racers to make the invitational) Vehicle elimination (can only get points with a particular vehicle once) like the other formats.
