Video idea: sorta like the all-character challenge, but you're trying to use all 18 types of tire and keep it under 100 points. (You could use Standard tires to replace the gold tires if you don't have them.) I chose 100 points because tires affect the vehicle combo much more!

They need to give every player the option in the settings to choose whether they prefer 150, 200, mirror mode, or 100 for online races, and then the aggregate of the preferences of all the players in the lobby should affect the odds of getting any particular mode. If you're in a room of high level players where 9 of 12 checked that they want to do 200cc, then it should be more likely than not that you're getting 200cc.

Moonview Highway definitely feels better on 200cc and is one of if not the best car tracks in MK8DX. I love shroom ridge as well.

Honestly I mostly play 200cc so I got nothing for 150cc. But the hardest track for me in 200cc is definitely Ninja Hideaway. Very difficult for me to say the least. Still can’t get used to that track 😅

@@Michael-hw5qqthey both have an A tier, but that doesn't mean they can never beat characters with a S tier. I love it to play as Rosalina, but I doubt as who I gonna play in a competitive game. Kamek is a viable choice for me if I want to win, but Rosalina has always been my number one favorite Super Mario character.

ironically, Wiggler has the same stats as Waluigi with the exception being his kart size which is smaller, so if he was released in an earlier wave, then Wiggler on the Wiggler kart would've been the meta.

I am not sure if you are aware Troy, but Wave 5 changed how drifting works. You can't drift inwards as tightly as before. However, if you clip the off-road while drifting, it reverts back to how drifting was prior to wave 5. The majority consensus at this point is that it is a bug as why would it "fix" itself after touching off-road. It may explain why you feel more out of control than usual. There is an excellent video by Swiftjar that demonstrates it.

DK Summit is really easy if you don't use the half pipes but the gap shortcut can be deadly. I think the hardest 200cc can be neo bowser city because breaking can lose lots of position

If a green shell bounces off a wall it will seek out a driver that comes close to it. It's a very stupid mechanic that should be removed. It's not tracking like the red shell. It's still very annoying

Smart bouncing is absolutely a thing in Mario kart 8 deluxe and it is very hated by everyone. Nobody likes it. It's also very real and super annoying. If you have a green bounce it off a wall first. It will hit someone. Trust me.

Red Shells are just too common on MK8 deluxe, and especially for 2nd place i don't know how often 2nd place gets 4 red shells from a double box, but more often than I like to see it.

I don't play worldwide mode I like mainly racing #MK8D with people inside the USA with a few people outside the USA. I also don't like 200cc and mirror mode so I'm glad they made those not show up as much in normal online races.

Wave 5 has turned into a complete item spam fest. And I swear the hitboxes have gotten larger on everyone. The green shells are OP. There is NO margin for error anymore, you get hit once and you are at the mid to back of the pack. I have 99999 VR and even I am struggling.

Hey dude! If you deploy your bomb just before the red shell hits you it’ll stop the shell and you’ll take no penalty! So instead of holding the bomb and letting the red act on it - just let the bomb go and the red shell will target that!

if you want to win in 200cc use yoshi bittybuggy it has the least speed but it makes that up for astonishing mini turbo and the yoshi tier has the best mini turbo but it has a disadvantage given it has the least invincibility in the entire game

Ok after seeing how Moonview highway plays on 200cc i think my minds changed on it in this game. It's definitely easier on 150 but 200 brings the challenge back and it being wider with less traffic makes it better for 200 but is still challenging.

Dude, I'm glad nintendo is tending to mario kart with dlc, but no amount of updates can make this game better than Mario Kart Wii. I stopped playing MK8D months ago because it was just too infuriating to be getting hit by red shells and green shells every three seconds, not to mention the other poor balance choices. I get infuriated in Troy's stead just watching it 😂 He brushes it off like a champ but I can tell he gets fed up with the bs item mechanics in this game too. They're just not fun to play with.

The hardest track in the DLC..? I'm not sure, I was expecting it to be Moonview Highway, but that one's not bad, still hate it though (all on 200cc, it's the only one I play) - w - If I had to choose though.... probably Vancover Velocity? It's still really fun though, one of my favorite Tour courses we've gotten My favorite overall course is Rainbow Road (Mario Kart 7) I'm also still very happy that Kamek's *finally* in a Mario Kart! I now just realize that I keep saying that a lot- Awesome video though, I love it ^^
