I was just thinking that this might be the best smash tournament. Every set ive seen has had amazing commentary, S+ tier gameplay, historic rivalry’s, etc etc. i think this summit is the literal peak of smash ult so far

Props to Avila for a well played set. But I gotta say, I think my biggest issue with Steve is that he forces you to approach. Even when you’re winning, you NEED to approach. It’s a huge fundamental advantage.

Tweek had an excellent gameplan here and brought it close, but Acola genuinely adapted really well throughout the set, especially with how he was catching bananas and using it for his own confirms, and how he started splitting up his block walls after Tweek's jetpack dealt with the tall linear ones.

Amazing set, love seeing the awareness and adaptation from both players, Tweek usage of UpB into blocks to keep preassure, Acolas use of bananas to confirm and cover options. Nice seeing both Steve mains and opponents learning so much, hope to see more of this in the future

These two players played at their peak. Loved the barrels usage by Tweek and Acola using Banana to his advantage. I wished Tweek won personally, though if we get Acola vs Glutonny then I'd be really happy. Two of the best players with the best survivability.

These amazing sets are just getting better and better. We have seen in recent tournaments the meta keeps shifting and Steve isn't as dominant as people tried to make him out to be. This was a close and fun set. Props to Acola

you can dislike Steve, but that is definitely not what happened here. acola is the most aggressive Steve.

Damn every single set is so close... Great counterplay from Tweek which was great to see but it wasn't enough. Unlike smash con everyone here seems way more experienced in the matchup and it's less of Steve dominating and more of Steve winning in a very close set

Whenever Steve mines up a gold ingot, he basically gets 4 gold. To make a gold tool you need 4. However whenever you use minecart with gold, you use one piece. Acola must’ve had less than 4 gold pieces left so he ended up crafted an iron tool. Does that make sense?

His Diddy Kong was playing really well against Leo, so it made sense to start with DK. But Tweek's Diddy continued to do pretty well against Acola, so it would have been awkward to switch mid set.

Most undeserved set I’ve ever seen in my entire life. You can’t say Tweek didn’t deserve that and you can’t say Steve players aren’t carried. Unfortunate the game developers will never fix this either.
