Hi all and welcome to episode 10 of Tweet Street, follow my breeding season with Lizard Canaries, they're in the process of egg laying, I have an update about my poorly bird and I have a slight sexing issue!

You probably know this already, but just in case... In the 1980s, more experienced breeders told me to always have some clear nail varnish on hand to close the hole in an egg punctured by the hen's claw. They also said to keep the shells of a couple of hatched eggs/clear eggs to trim and use as a patch stuck on with aforementioned clear nail varnish in the case of slightly larger damage. It's a long shot, but they claimed to have occasional successes.

If you use a magnetic needle a Hen bird the needle will go around and around. A cock bird the needle will go two and throw.

In a way, yes, in 1882 an Indian newspaper "the Pioneer" had an article about a Tibetan meditation system that identified differences between the magnetism of the sexes. The needling simply picks up these.

@olivebranchbirds Very interesting. And metaphysics is so downplayed with the popular sciences in academia. Although they get some things right it doesn't justify the basis. Natural law can be sought through various lens.
