He was one of my favorite action figures and villains growing up. They really did a fantastic job of giving him a much more modernized look and really giving him a darker more evil realistic look. Absolutely love it

Tweeterhead is just kicking butt with there statue designs😀My big brothers loved master of the universe so I know they would love this statue. In the DC comics a few years back, it is revealed that Hordak is the main villain in Masters of the Universe who granted Skeletor his power. This Hordak statue looks so good, I am contemplating getting him. Great review, Mr. X!

Great Statue, I'm a big fan of the color scheme. The red wine like cape for contrast looks fantastic and all the micro details on it's armor and portrait. I picked this up as well, just too damn cool looking - I plan on picking up the Sideshow Originals (dragon Slayer will be my She-Ra) to go with him as I'm not really into the MOTU line. Great review as always Mr.X, keep em coming.

I need one awesome statue to be the centerpiece of my collection. I'm moving into a new house April 1st and will have the entire downstairs for display, I don't have any higher end statues for a centerpiece, I have a 250$ sideshow gift card that I am going to use on a preorder to finance something, nothing has stood out so far, this will be a one time purchase so I want to make the right choice. Just got mine in late last week and he reminds me of the 2000 remake which is a good thing. Hopefully they make a King Hiss with a switch out torso with both able to hold his staff.

Happy that Tweeterhead decided to continue this line. Skeletor was one of my favorite villains growing up so that Sideshow Version was a day 1 purchase. She-Ra also caught my eye and ended up getting her too. As much as I liked the Sideshow He-Man, Skeletor is paired with Mumm-Ra so She-Ra was by herself for a while. Ecstatic that Tweeterhead decided to got with Hordak. He turned out great. Not sure I can really choose an order in terms of who turned out best. Really hoping for a Tweeterhead Mer-Man though.

When they were creating characters for the masters of the universe, they wanted to make a mentor to Skeletor like character with a twist. So was created Hordak a manbat creature hungry for power. Very bold of him trying to overthrow skelator, unlike prince Adam he did not have the power. This statue is really a well done sculpt of that figure. Agree that the base could have been done better, but Hordak is fantastically done. Love the change out parts of both left, right arms and the option of a cartoonish still or a more organic type portrait. That cape unlike the one from General Zod, went on easily and does help to make the figure pop out more. By the power of Greyskull this sculpture will make any He-Man fan very proud to own.

Not to geek out but in the show I grew up on Hordak is Skelator's boss. A mutiny gets Skelator and his henchmen kicked off the ship and left in Eternia. I'm pretty sure Hordak was only in the She-ra cartoon but She-ra had He-man and Skelator in every episode.

*I feel you my friend on the heads, as I too like the updated look. Theoretically speaking, the Filmation Hordak's face was a death/war mask, and underneath that face was his true face that we never saw in the cartoon....thus the alternate regular portrait that Tweeterhead included that you prefer vs the helmet. I'm stuck between that one & this one, lol....* *but I'm kind of leaning more towards the Power variant. Aside from the low edition size, I think the cartoon colors look great against the updated armor design. What do you think?*

Hordak himself looks fantastic but the piece is let down by the cheap 'n' nasty fabric cloak, mixed media is extremely naff and turns a statue into a doll. Imagine wrapping the Venus De Milo in a bed sheet, outrageous! Cheers, 8-) This is a cloak, anything calf length or longer is a cloak, capes are much shorter!
