to me, door panels are the most challenging part of the entire install. Sure, building a big fat box for some subs is always fun but when it comes to the mids and highs you really gotta get your mind right sometimes. Stressful! But i am happy with the outcome so far. I plan on wiring these up soon, hopefully this weekend. Don't forget to watch the previous 2 video's to see how the entire process of these panels happened. Thanks for watching if you did!

I had a similar set up. The problem I ran in to was tuning. I had a dm-810 problem was time alignment and speakers canceling each other out. I didn't think about that until I began tuning. Long story short I won't be doing that again on a build for sound quality. Steve and his crew got a lot more experience so I'm sure it will turn out awesome.

Those door speakers look amazing and I bet they sound just as good as they look. You are correct about door panels being quite difficult. That is why I use the factory location. Either way, the years of content you, and everyone and noone in particular influencing the hobby has been a blast. I'm not calling you out on you age, so don't take this comment like that, but it's great to see installers and DIYer's of our age (46 here) taking the time/initiative to learn and use new tools that not only speed the job up but can actually make it look better. The best thing is, once you designed and saved it, you can replicate again for repairs, tweaks, or for other installs. I definitely like the SEM painted trim bezel on the tweeter pods. Oh yea, I see you're using HDPE more and more. I love it! I don't think there's a better product to use in the harsh automotive environment. I know it's use a lot in the marine industry under the name, wait for it......STARBOARD.....LMAO! I know some are probably saying that you needed to put a nutcert in those mounting holes you threaded but that's the great thing about HDPE. I think the term is "tensile strength"? If not, correct me, but HDPE holds threads better than ABS and by not using a nutcert you're doing away with a point of failure. I know you have so much more going on but it's appreciated that you always keep to your install roots and post these vids up for us....and you're still teaching us as well!
@meade9162 жыл бұрын
this isn't Starboard. It's "Playboard" (Vycor)...similar but different texture and sheen. Not sure who would say something about nutserts, that would be comical. No need for those at all. A huge waste of time at best. Thanks man!
@justinmurphy22272 жыл бұрын
