A beautiful place. But why doesn’t it seem as if we are celebrating that enemy of our fauna and flora? Indeed, a classic example of how colonialism and the westernization of our cultures became the genesis of environmental degradation.

It's a sad story but also at some point I understand that hunting was a form of a sport especially in ukambani, times change and the same community is totally against hunting

We should never celebrate a mzungu including the white Jesus because we are the original people since creation, white is recessive gene, ours is dominant. The messiah was dark skin, our story was changed to His story.

Av done this "mountain" thrice. Approaching it from kibwezi. Such a breathtaking trek(not following the set trails) thru bushes. The peaks and the view just beautiful. That hunters lodge too💯 beautiful. Home is best💯

Reforestation is really needed in Kenya, as well as afforestation. This programs were strongly encouraged for decades in Kenya before but we're neglected, it's time to significantly fund those same programs again. Kenya has water for all, but ails in its management of water infrastructure that exists & water catchment towers. Flood management and water wastage are also big ones.

Apparently in kibwezi region we've been doing lots drive. On 16th and 17th April there are tree planting exercises going on and even cleaning. All I can say is that the kibwezi now is a changed one and it's destined for restoration
