We take a look at some of the greatest Rugby World Cup moments from all the teams competing. From Johnny Wilkinson's famous drop goal in 2003 to help England win the title, to Dominici's try against the All Blacks in a thrilling come back tale for France in the 1999 semi-final at Twickenham.

How to comment on this video: 1. Say you haven't seen much of rugby before. 2. Then, say that it looks fun to play. 3. Finally, compare to another sport (preferably American football) and say how much better rugby looks.

Being American born and raised, this looks much more fun, to both watch and play, than American Football. I've never really seen much on Rugby before now and it makes me wonder why American Football is even a thing if this came before it. It seems like America has just pussified the sport and called it its own.

Keep in mind football is a very rough sort too, but I do agree rugby is more rough than American football.

It's funny, I just said I agreed with you that rugby is rougher. I do watch the NFL by the way. Both sports are very dangerous, but I think rugby is more dangerous.

+Zach Johnson Give rugby players pads and the ability to hit with no arms and they would hit just as hard, I guarantee it. Rugby players have to wrap in the tackle.
@jasondominguez2965
@jasondominguez2965 8 жыл бұрын
+Charlie Alderson uh no, they wouldn't. these dudes have dad-bods. have you seen even third string NFL players in person? They're made of stone. Also, the differences between "rough" and "dangerous" are important. I don't care which is more DANGEROUS, because so is driving a car over 100mph. Danger has nothing to do with toughness. And without pads, I could believe that rugby is more dangerous, just like playing pick up basketball at senior night at the local YMCA causes more torn ACLS and broken noses than an average NFL game. NFL is without a doubt, though, more tough. I mean, it's seriously not close. I watched this entire video and barely saw serious contact. You'll get more contact in 1 drive than I watched in this highlight reel. It is what it is, I'm not saying NFL is better (though I believe that to be the case), but can we put to death the silly arguments that rugby is in the NFL's world when it comes to toughness?

+dhdssd Yes you are correct, but the ball was still passed forward. When I was on the field, that would have been ruled an infringement. I haven't played in many years, so maybe the rules have been changed. I don't think so though, otherwise we would regularly see the ball being hoisted up into open space for someone to run forward and take (just like our American friends do in their version of the game).

once you've played it for a bit you see how fast you learn. the throwing "backwards" always confuses people at first who are used to American Football. "how do you advance if you are throwing backwards??" but you can see how it works.

Just become a forward in a local team. You never touch the ball in open play. All the backs do that stuff.

Im a second row mate and I touch it just as much as anyone else on the team, forwards do the grafting while backs get the tries ;)

Tim Horan's try in the 1991 Semi? Conspicuous by its absence. Also Serge Blanco's try in the semi final 1987.
