Seeing your prayer I cry now. We provided a home for a struggling young lady that we rescued several times. She needed brain surgery, mental care and spiritual healing. My brother recently shared with me that he goes to church, but not to be saved, because he does not believe he's worth it. He explained how much he thinks about simply ending his life. Sadly, I'm not good with words, so instead of saying something to the extent of stop being stupid, i said nothing. I pray today for the grace to get a good job that will help me complete my CDL certification. And I pray that for the next few years things will go smoothly with a part-time job so that I can save up for a good reliable vehicle. I pray for my children, my grandchildren, my siblings, my nieces and nephews. I pray for my former spouse that work will come easy and school. I pray that the tools of marriage encounter will help reconnect me with my family. I give thanks to God for this Mass, and for when I am able to go to Mass in my community. Amen. It hurts my heart when people who aren't Catholic say that we Catholic People are idol worshippers. Now I can refer people to this homily. Thank you, Father Mike. Great mass about the expensive air ticket ($66000). Yes, the community and the Church are about serving others. We must not worship idols of the world. It is indeed important to know what we can do for God. We are not just observers but active participants. We must see if we are alienated to God. Me and the person I want to be - the gap between that is something we must bridge through reflection, scripture, and prayers. Our rebellion is what causes the separation from God. We must have an unconditional surrender to God. Love & responsibility book by Pope John Paul II - nice recommendation. Yes, the sign of Cross shows the price that Jesus paid and our worship to God. Please pray for me, I almost died on September 30th. My intestines twisted on itself, had bowel obstruction and the tube from a shunt draining in my abdomen tore through my small intestines so my intestines were going necrotic. I was in complete septic shock upon arrival at emergency. I had surgery 4 hours later. I was in ICU for 11 days. I’ve been in the trauma unit ever since. Today makes 20 days inpatient. God be practical see and adored and glorified all thanks goes to Him. Jesus is my savior. Please pray for my healing and that I do God’s will. I love Blessed Mother and entrust myself into her loving arms and maternal heart.

Two days ago, my Dad called me a failure for the 2nd time in the last month, because I haven't earned my degree yet. I am enrolled, but it has taken me, and will take me almost double the amount of time than the average student due to my challenges with adhd, and also being a mature student in my 40s. My Dad tells me adhd doesn't exist, that I buy into all that crap, and to just snap out of it. He told me that I don't think normal, therefore, I am not normal. I told him, thank you, because normal is the last thing I want to be anyway. Honouring my father is one of the biggest tests God has given me, it gets really hard. Sometimes I stay away from my Dad because I know I will get angry, and don't want to be like that. I have compassion for my Dad. I ask him often to join me at Mass. He never comes. Please pray for my Dad. The only one who has ever been beside me is our Lord Jesus Christ. Through thick and thin, who carried me, and carries me now still! Praise be to God, because I know to Him, I am not a failure, and that with Him, I will succeed.

AMEN! It wasn't just a day or an hour! His sacrifice was every second of His own life! His sacrific3 was do much more than most people acknowledge because they dont fully realize the enormous sacrifice He gave freely. I know. How can we ever be as much like Him as we would like? How much free will of ours have we chosen to give of our own lives? What sacrifice can compare to this of our Savior that God, our Father would find it acceptable? This is unfathomable-- the magnitude of love shown to us for something we could never deserve on our own.

Excellent sermon, but have the beginning of your Mass reflect the sermon. Use the words of the Mass, "Let us call to mind our sins," nothing else, none of your words. These are the most powerful words that can be said. Then say the Confiteor, then the Lord have mercy. I know you are allowed to not say ithe Confiteor, but why would you want to? Why should people come to confession if they never acknowledge that they are sinners? As you say in your sermon sin is not just making a mistake, and sin is the problem, and you can't solve this separation on your own.. By not acknowledging you are a sinner, you are basically saying, "Hey, I really don't have to repent. Oh, I may know that to bodily receive you, I am not worthy, but to be saved, you really did not have to die for me." Father, I think that your spiritual advisor would say the same thing. Even though you do not have to say it, say the Confiteor anyway.
