This song is so powerful. Tyler and Josh had fans telling them how they related to the music, because they also felt depressed and had suicidal thoughts. TOP music helped them. Tyler is giving advice about how to divert those feelings and thoughts to something else, including music. Tyler is saying that knowing how many kids feel these negative thoughts is keeping him up at night. He can't sleep when they all "have guns for hands" -- the ability to harm themselves. He says, "you all have plans to take it, to take it, DON'T take it, take it, take it." He also later says to all join hands and see we are not alone, and to "turn your guns to a fist." I take that to mean to stay strong.

You'll have noticed they sing a lot about mental health and this song is about how Tyler was worried for his fans who want to self harm or have suicidal thoughts or other mental struggles. He asks fans to join together with him and Josh and to turn our inward thoughts outwards, and use their music as an outlet to fight our mental health issues. This song is from the 2013 album Vessel, as are Car Radio, Holding On To You, Ode To Sleep, Trees and Migraine that you've heard. The other songs you've listened to are from the 2015 album Blurryface.

Dude I LOVE the fact your into Twenty-one pilots… my oldest son has autism.. for the longest time he was non verbal.. he’s now 14 … he sings this song word for word… we have to listen to this on the way home.. you have no idea what this song means to me.. thank you for reacting to this.. you have a sub for life now bra. This song is about self harm.. he is trying to encourage people to stop hurting themselves and committing suicide.. Some other really great songs are…”doubt”…”lane boy”…”migraine”…”car radio”…”fairly local”…”stressed out”…”ride”…”Tear in my heart”…”the judge”…”house of gold”…”polarize…”heathens” from suicide squad soundtrack…I can go on and on.. don’t think they have a bad song.. they even did a cover of “ can’t help falling in love” by Elvis .. I’m about to show my age here.. this song was the song my wife and I picked out to play at our wedding.. but if I was to pick another song to do would be either ride or lane boy doubt or tear in my heart.. all of them are good and there is many others but these are off the top of my head…

Thia is so fun! I liked this song from the first time I heard it. It is bouncy and boppy and fun. I took my son to their concert in 2016. He had had some mental health things go on his last few years of high school, at the same time he had found TOP and showed them to me. At the concert, I HEARD this song so differently than I had before. It hit me in the gut. My son had been self harming and the whole first verse made so much more sense all of a sudden. Goner and Heavydirtysoul -at the Fox Theater would be my suggestions. I know you did the video for Heavydirtysoull but live is awesome. Also you could start the Trench Trilogy too if you want. It technically starts with Heavydirtysoul (not on Trench), then goes to Jumpsuit, Nico and the Niners, then Levitate. There are a few after that when Scaled and Icy came out that continue the story but we can get to those later (Shy Away, Choker, Saturday and Outside all have story elements in them continuing the Lore- when you are ready for that whole thing.) But for sure- keep going!!!

My I suggest you to look into Ren’s music. Ren is part of a group called ‘The Big Push’. They make live music on the streets and it will blow your mind.
