Although this interview wasn't necessarily funny or spontaneous, I loved it becuase they touched on songs and topics that they haven't talked about before. This was a great interview. Even though josh is (obviously) an amazing drummer, I love that he isn't the best of the best. I think the fact that we've been blessed with the opportunity to see him grow as a drummer and a musician is incredible and inspiring, especially the way he talks about it. Can't wait to watch get even better!!!

GOOD QUESTIONS OH MY GOD. See every band should be asked questions about their music, what's next, what they feel they should work on, how they became who they are. I mean funny interviews are nice but when they try and meddle in their personal lives I feel like they get uncomfortable and I don't blame them. I feel this interview was very important and a good example for future journalists who really care and have a passion for music because that is what this band is all about and I love that about them. I just had kind of a weird moment when Tyler was talking about being on stage and thinking "I can't believe I'm doing this right now." It's just that I've put Tyler and Josh on some kind of pedestal without entirely realizing it. Like, to me, these two guys aren't just people anymore. They're people who saved my life, and in a way, that creates a harsh distinction between me and them. But when he said that, it startled me because I remember thinking the exact same thing when I went to their concert in October. Just knowing that we share the same sense of awe in the same situation (granted, our roles in the situation are a bit different) made him seem more like a person rather than some untouchable being. That may not make a whole lot of sense, but I just feel like I needed to explain it for my own sake if nothing else.

And that I have imagined them for so long, as creatures capable of things far greater than I could ever achieve, but in reality, they do the things I do. They go grocery shopping. They get sick. They change the wallpapers on their laptop's desktop. There's a kind of resentment towards myself for letting that be forgotten. I wish it wasn't so hard to see them as people.
