I went to their concert 5 days ago, and I was so afraid they wouldn't play this. But lukily they played a 4 minute mashup of older songs, and the we're broken people part was the last thing of that mashup. I cried so much, one of the best parts of the show. Best night of my life. Josh is always energetic when he drums, but it's easy to tell which songs mean the most to him, cause he drums even harder (I didn't even think it was possible) and gets much more into it. That's the case with this song. Despite not saying anything, just hitting things with sticks, you can feel the emotion pouring from him. I love seeing how much the music helps both of the smol beans

LYRICS I do not know why I would go In front of you and hide my soul Cause you're the only one who knows it, Yeah you're the only one who knows it And I will hide behind my pride Don't know why I think I can lie Cause there's a screen on my chest Yeah there's a screen on my chest I'm standing in front of you I'm trying to be so cool Everything together trying to be so cool I can't see past my own nose, I'm seeing everything in slo-mo Look out below crashing down to the ground just like a vertical locomotive That's a train, am I painting the picture that's in my brain? A train from the sky, locomotive, my motives are insane My flow's not great, okay, I conversate with people Who know if I flow on a song I'll get no radio play While you're doing fine, there's some people and I Who have a really tough time getting through this life So excuse us while we sing to the sky. I'm standing in front of you I'm trying to be so cool Everything together trying to be so cool We're broken We're broken people, oh. I'm standing in front of you I'm trying to be so cool Everything together trying to be so cool

1. I don't think there's other amazing people who can rap and play the guitar sweetly. Tyler's so adorable with his little electric ukulele and Josh's so into his drums made me speechless. 2. The lyrics this band produces is so relatable and unique I wish many people could be like them. They will always be my favourite band. 3. I wish and hope people would love them for their music not only for their style or because they have songs on the radio. I also hope people take their time to understand the lyrics and its deep meanings and not only for its happy, upbeat sounds.

That end makes you think. Did Tyler write this to hear an entire crowd sing "we're broken people" as a form of self help? So that he could hear other people say that they're broken too, making him feel more normal and hence, like we're suppose to be broken?

What I love about 21p is that so many people can connect to their lyrics in so many different ways. I always see so many comments about how there's religious undertones in most of their songs which make the lyrics mean that much more to those people. AND I personally am not religious and I know many other people are not and we're able to, very easily, take the lyrics to mean something different that connects to us. And the song doesn't lose it's meaning or impact. I just really love that.

"Basically, we are all responsible for the preservation of our personal joy; but happiness is different. Joy is not circumstantial, happiness is. You can be depressed and still have joy. You can be suicidal and still have joy. We all stop thinking and we all stop talking and we all stop sharing and we all stop creating, because by doing any of these things we quickly find out just how unhappy we are. But that's okay. That's normal. Don't let the fear of unhappiness cripple your pursuit of finding what it is you believe. Since joy is found in belief, we all have to push through unhappiness to find joy. Basically."
