Twenty Summers: Garance Doré Interview

Writer, illustrator, and photographer Garance Doré visited the barn on June 11, 2016, to discuss the current state of fashion, style, and her career with Twenty Summers co-founder Ricky Opaterny. Doré's eponymous blog reaches millions of readers, and the New York Times Magazine has called her the "guardian of all style." She has won the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s Eugenia Sheppard Media Award and is the author of the 2015 bestseller Love Style Life.

I didn't know she was second generation. I think her experience with having immigrant parents who expected her BE something she didn't want to be resonates with me fully. I really like her now.

I really enjoy Garance's storytelling on her site and I liked the interview, however the gentleman that did the interviewing did not need to repeat the audience questions, she understood the questions as they were asked.

I know, it was irritating to me too but I think he was doing this for the audience not for her because the acoustics in spaces like that, some folks can't hear clearly what question was asked as the audience isn't mic'd and depending on where you sit, it isn't as easy to hear as it is on the video. They do this at every talk I've ever been to in New York. What makes it annoying is that the interviewer often tries to edit or improve upon the question and should just repeat it in my opinion.

yes, Alice, obtain success never just because of one reason. And so dont leave out her talents, hard work and so on...i don't think any French person who met Mr. Sar could have her success to say the least. Or otherwise your comment is bias!
