The other, more positive songs are made by Dema and The Bishops. It’s propaganda meant to distract us and lure us in. At least that’s the common theory thus far. Scaled And Icy is an anagram. Rearrange the letters and it says “Clancy is dead.”
@voinaluca39293 жыл бұрын
@@jxynothere i know this. The theme of the album is most likely about hiding your emotions, while being happy on the outside. Can u explain me this song????
@cactusplantreal3 жыл бұрын
@@AMiT-zn6iu do you know the DEMA lore? :) basically the people with the choir voices are bad. They’re called bishops and they’re in nine towers in a city called DEMA. DEMA stands for depression/anxiety and bad things. So the people stuck there are unhappy. There’s a boy who escaped, named clancy. Tyler also “escaped” but he was probably taken back to the bad city in this album. Clancy is supposedly dead (scaled and icy spells clancy is dead) so this song might be talking about how they want clancy to not die, because clancy is good and he gives us information about inside DEMA and what happens. Without him, we’re clueless. The bishops killed clancy supposedly because he stood up against their ideology. Called violism. Which is basically “you believe this or you die” so hes.. most likely dead. The bishops are saying “we come for you, no chances” as if they’re hunting him down to kill clancy. This song is going to have a very big part in the story I feel like.

Man the song is written so incredibly well. It seems like the entire song has a double meaning. On one hand, it’s DEMA propaganda. It’s like a threat, telling the listener: We will find you. You have no chance of escaping. We are everywhere. Come home to DEMA. But between the lines, Tyler tries to tell us to run, hidden in the background vocals. “We got people on the way” implies that you are not alone and that the Banditos are waiting for you. From this perspective, “home” is Trench and they want to pick you up. It’s like Tyler has to write around censorship by the Bishops. That’s why the song sounds so menacing and has a feature by the Bishops themselves. So well thought out. Also, issa BANGER!

The more I listen to this album, the more I realize how many cool sonic details it has hidden in it. At 3:33, you can hear a pitched up, processed version of the vocal at 1:43. On a related note I think Tyler often makes all his melodies from different sections of a song work together if played at the same time, which allows him to hide a future melody behind the current melody. That way the next melody is already in your head before you're even aware of it. A great example is the chorus at the beginning of Fairly Local, where you can hear a synth in the background doing the melody of the first verse

If this song is a part of the DEMA propaganda, then the No Chances chorus is probably a representation of the Banditos to make them sound antagonistic, and the we just want you home in one piece bit would be the bishops, addressing attempted escapees. And I suspect the line where it addresses them as "Son" is Keons addressing Clancy specifically. And they do want them back in one piece, so they can fully commit to vialism

I think there are four voices in this song: two of them are the bishops, one is the banditos, and the main voice is whoever was running away in "Bounce Man" (either Tyler or Clancy, I'm not sure which). "Bounce Man" is the last happy-sounding song on the SAI album, and it's about someone on the run from the authorities. Immediately after that, you get No Chances. This song puts us right back into the sound of Trench. It's like the bishops were trying to put forth the happy propaganda of "everything is fine here" for most of SAI, but then once you try to leave anyway, the happy facade drops and they're not playing nice anymore. "We come for you" is clearly the bishops coming after the person who's trying to escape Dema. But I think the chorus "we've got people on the way/we want you home in one piece now/we get bodies every day"is also the bishops. It's like good cop, bad cop. The "We come for you" is the scary threat, while "We've got people on the way to get you and bring you back home in one piece" is the good cop trying to be soothing. It super reminds me of what my mom used to say to me when I was young. "The world is dangerous and scary; you need to do what I tell you because I'm trying to keep you safe." Meanwhile, the banditos are trying to tell the protagonist to not listen, to not fall for the trap, telling him to "Run away". The protagonist is unfortunately caught; he says "How did you find me?" And then what is the next/last song on the album? A song very directly about mental health issues, the only one on this whole album, compared to the previous three albums which were full of songs explicitly about mental health. It's because we're back in Dema.

y could be but i think bounceman is more "runing away from your problems instead fix them is a great idea let us help u :3" then yes this song is them just not using masks and maybe here is when they take clancy, and in redecorate the last part is him but he ddnt die as the song say, he just low af then in next album he will scape and will give the banditos hope as he was so low but make it out alive and they will "win" dema. even it will always exsist. i think all first songs are just liek that good day "you are in the shit but dont think about it, yeah dance u idiot :P" choker "i know its over none is coming for me..." shy away "dont be scared of us do what we say :D take what you have (your life) and leave your skin (body) on the floor¡ the outside " enter dema¡ we so cool join your friends here and have fun like them noding up and down to our beat uwu" saturday "damn here in the ocean floor i dont care anymore sinking so low is nice¡ lets dance¡ take it "those banditos aint cool... want us to be mad at each other dont lsiten to them¡ we friens
