Fun to watch. Difficult part of the much needed cleaning process. Declan was 'hands on' here.., Bravo for doing what had to be done.

I had a 1982 Camaro when I was in the Navy stationed in Southern California. Cracked dash pads were common on many makes and models back then. Replacement was expensive. A lot of us covered our dashes with a molded carpet cover. You can purchase them from cover craft. Many dealerships used to sell these as accessories at their parts counters.

Declan is definitely growing into this gig! It's ok to be clueless mate, that's why most of us watch channels like this! 😂 Looking forward to the next one, and to looking forward to Declan's confidence growing throughout this series.👍

Way to go Declan, definite progress being made. I was noticing that the support bracket for the dash was rusted probably from the mouse pee. You can hand brush on some P O R -15 , that will encapsulate the rust and kill it. If you look behind all the plastics in the rear compartments of the car. You're probably going to find more mouse nest. Awesome job keep it up. God bless

Consider using a combination of vinegar and baking soda to neutralize the mouse urine

You guys get better at video making every time, I hope you are having fun with it and getting to make those core memories along the way. One thing I would suggest could improve, which is commonly over looked, is the audio quality. I see that you got some nice wireless mics, however the audio could use some editing as it sounds a bit too tinny and blown out. It would also be better of you put them in mono so we don't hear one of you in one ear and the other in the other ear especially for the headphone wearers. I know that all sounds very picky but I'm just try to give you some slight tweaks as audio affects a videos' quality much more than people realize. Either way I'm going to keep watching as long as you guys keep making videos, keep up the great work.

My dad used to be a GN service rep and got to pick his company cars. Used to have Monte SS’s and IROC-Z’s etc all the time. Was a blast as a kid. Love that you’re having your son help and learn along the way.

While you have the instrument panel out, that is a good time to replace the existing instrument lights with LEDs. Also good opportunity to check your grounds and create redundant ground points.

Hey Declan, I also had a red IROC that had been parked for a while. Mine was a T-Top. Was driving home from church one night and turned the heat on. The car filled with smoke, thankfully I had some tools with me. There was a mouse nest it my heater fan box. Much better to find it now instead if on the highway.

People who complain simply have nothing better to do with their life. IGNORE them. Keep up the good videos, I am waiting to get my 4 post lift installed so I can post videos about the work I am doing on my 72 and 03 Vettes. I need to replace a rear main seal and transmission pan in the 72 Vette. I will be doing some suspension work on both as well.

Unless you did off camera...If you can still get into the heater box, you may want to reach in either by hand or tool....and spin the blower fan. There may be more mouse house behind it!🤢

@GenXVette said all that needs saying mechanically. Cosmetically and hygienically, I would spray the entire interior with bleach...or with rubbing alcohol and use an ozone machine if you have one. Or you can rent an evaporating cooling fan from Home Depot Tool Rental which will work wonders with rubbing alcohol. I've never tested it with bleach. FYI, guys...Declan...YOU NEVER MIX bleach and rubbing alcohol together. EVER. It creates chloroform and it can either kill you or ruin such organs as the eyes, lungs, liver, brain.

It’s actually ammonia and bleach that make chlorine gas but, in general, I think it’s a good practice to not mix bleach with anything but water!

God Job! They make a dash cover that once you put it over the old one,you wont be able to tell the difference. Also while you have the dash off check those speakers . Now would be the time to replace them as well as anything in the cluster. I have an 86 sport coupe.
