THE RED STRING THEORY MENTION THROUGHOUT THE VIDEO UGH MY HEART the red string theory is a theory that two people (in this case - 9 for TWICE) are connected by an invisible string tied to each other's fingers which will lead them eventually all together regardless the time, place, and circumstances. - when mina is drawing a knot on their fingers with a red marker at the beginning of her verse - dahmo's prechorus dance featuring a red strip of fabric as a prop after jeongyeon's verse at the start - the animation before the final chorus with the girls in the ocean and a red string connecting them all together/that red string retracting back onto the boat which the girls are on UGH THE HIDDEN MESSAGES AHHH

To me, this M/V is a renewal of their vow as "nine or none", and a love song to the members who were on hiatus. 1. Jeongyeon is in the lighthouse, guiding them through the storm. She caught so much hate for the side effects of her disc injury, and this is the members saying, "you are our light, you lead the way" 2. Their voyage only continues once Mina, who had to halt activities due to anxiety, leaves the dark cabin messed up by the storm - her own messed up mental state - and joins her members in the sun once more. God, to be as pure as they are.

The message in each song was really conveyed to the audience well, as Once knew there was a time when Mina Twice was experiencing anxiety and she felt unsure whether she could continue with the other Twice members at that time. But all Twice members are always there to encourage Mina and give Mina support that Mina can definitely get through this. Because he is not alone and all the members are with him in his ups and downs... That's why I feel that only female idol Twice has 9 members whose family is very strong, like it goes beyond the blood relationship itself. IGY is really in a different level of a song.. like, a masterpiece. It connects so much not just to once but to Twice themselves.. With Mina starting the song watching the storm (Which represents her hiatus... a very dark moment in her life). Then JY singing "When I'm walking into the darkness, I know you'll be right there lighting up the flares" conveying how thankful she is for the members being her light and being there with her through her though times when she had her hiatus too ... The video alone shows the symbol of friendship and family that is why this is very special to me... Feel Special is very emotional too but IGY hits different... They are inside the yacht, in the middle of the dark ocean (which may represent kpop industry), being with each other until the storm (which may represent the problems they faced) stops... Being just with each other who became their biggest support. Then the members singing No Matter What you Got Me I Got You feels like, an unwavering love of each member towards each other. This song is not just a song... It's a note that will tell us that no matter what happen, Twice/Onces will have each other's backs... Through thick and thin... We have each other.
