Hey, your comments at the end got me thinking how I also feel about their past few comebacks. I've been taking it another way but have no clue if I'm correct by any means. From what I understand, they renewed their contracts in Nov of 2022 for only 3 years. Is it possible that they're preparing Once to say goodbye? I think TWICE are in a position now that they can release anything and it'll sell. Sort of like Red Velvet or Blackpink. They've transitioned into a legacy group. I don't think it's about not chasing trends or making statements. They're just making the stuff they want and don't have to worry about it not hitting. They have their fanbase for life pretty much. If they ever decide to slow down, then maybe some of that will die down, but not by a lot. Thinking about how SNSD came back randomly and didn't miss a step, I sort of think TWICE will be like that in the future.

MISAMO was sort of a given, but I think 3MIX is also an obvious choice - though you might be stacking the deck with power vocals, power vocals, power vocals! lol. I'd also like School Meal Club to make something as well. I know that Tzuyu and Dahyun would be carrying the harder/heavier vocals parts (Chaeyoung tends to sing softer than she raps), but I do think they have a diverse enough skillset amongst them to be really cool. Plus, with the three of them Tzuyu would get a chance to flex her dancing and Chaeyoung could go harder on rap parts. But I guess those three sub-units are sort of predictable.

At this point it feels like Twice is just releasing songs that are really good without having to worry in competing against 4th/5th gen groups because honestly they are on a league of their own a 3rd gen Koreas National GG who's still active after almost 10 years and releasing multiple good songs every year for their fans and people to hear. They might not win that many awards as they used to do back in the day with their comebacks now but its okay since Twice has got nothing left to prove, they already marked their place in the history as one of the best gg to ever exist. Music show awards is not a scale to measure Twice's success because they are now global artists with millions of fans around the world not just in korea. A girl group formed through a survival show became one of the best to ever exist, 9 beautiful and talented ladies who grew together which became a family despite the different personalities, a genuine bond with each other and a genuine bond with Once's who also grew up with them. Don't worry girl i did cry my eyes out as well. Well been once since 2016, you know how hard it was for them. Seen them going through everything and the way they achieve 0 to hero is actually pretty insane to me.. not only twice, as the fandom we also had so much things, like everyday I remember in twitter how bad those people who called haters hate them, we were trying our best to protect them and the hate was just mind blowing for the ONECS as well. From my own perspective, 'I Got You' really seems to be the sequel to 'The Best Thing I Ever Did'. In both MVs, the Video shows that they are singing to each other as a united group but in the lyrics, they are also singing to Once. (also, the ladies were freezing cold while shooting scenes for both of those MVs, but that is beside the point...) At fan meets, people frequently tell the members that this group saved the fans from doing stupid things to themselves, possibly pulled them back from doing the absolutely unthinkable to themselves. The Hope that this group offers and sings about, and their positive message, is taken in-hand and used to change lives of fans for the better. The members get those kinds of comments a lot and that praise is well-deserved. What else could any sane person with a good soul want to do with their social platform? Their positivity is infectious and they are all hard workers or they would not be at the top of the Entertainment Industry. The world really needs them for the inspiration and for the love, and we need more people that are like them in those ways. To an extent, we do have some Groups and Soloists who are positive; XG, New Jeans, NMIXX, TripleS, Mamamoo, Red Velvet, Dreamcatcher... I hope there are more. We need more. :)

i think mainly bc it's rlly touching to see them still active as one and still going so strong. we've rly come so far and it's SO hard to see such genuine friendships and sisterhoods in today's KPOP industry. TWICE has rlly spent their youths with us, just as we did with them, and I think it feels emotional because to me, this release is kinda like a closure (?) to chapter 1 of their story before we move on to greater and better things. lots of emotions and lots of thoughts. the members themselves have also said that this is by far one of the releases that they've participated the most in bc it's just THAT personal and i think we all can feel it HAHA :')

I think that after the contract renewal this will be the theme worked on in TWICE's songs, their relationship and this is quite visible since Between 1&2 (between 1NCE & 2WICE), or it could also be with the "Our Youth" project released last year. I feel so bad, because they are precious

These two songs have all the sentimentality and momentousness of something like a celebratory 15th anniversary reunion song (as we’ve gotten from some 2nd gen groups). But unlike most other groups, Twice have never went away, and yet, we do still have that same sense of capital-L Legacy.

'I GOT YOU' and 'ONE SPARK' is something that really connects TWICE to ONCEs despite being in the industry for several years, they manage to create a song that will show how grateful they are toward their success as a group and individually. Hence, by far the best era they've put out.
