I went to Wally’s wine bar when night when Roberta Kray held a fundraiser there for Reg. Had a great night, got to know Wally that night and after he took us to his club. Even got his 80 odd year old father in law out of bed to drive us home!! lol great night and a top bloke

I liked Wally, before i met him i actually saw him box on the telly(b/w).He had a bit of an afro in those days.Dont recall seeing Roy Shaw,but Joey Pyle and Alan Minter and his son Ross were in Crystals one night when i was there.Incidently i said hello to John Bindon on Richmond Bridge as we passed,i figured he'd been visiting Joey Pyle who wasn't well by then.Bindon looked a shadow of his former self and didn't have long to go either.I picked up a paperback years ago called "Tough Guys Don't Cry" by Joey Cannon.,Kray era geezer.I think he was more handy with a gun than his fists though. I'll have to dig it out,i think he was the 'inside' man for an early heist at Heathrow. Do you know anything about him?You tell a good story Ray,all the best.

Not a nice night bumping into them 3 some the biggest names. Seen the story told before. Still good to hear it the old team still come out on top couple the guys Roy bashed up in toilet and outside were ment to have been cage fighters. Have a good night looking well.
