An online store here in Norway had an ok price for Twilight Booster box (around $138, yes, Norway is effin expensive), but suddenly they hiked the price up to $147. Still a new set and not old at all, yet they set the price up - Outrageous, really. Considering how much we have to buy the boxes for in general. The cheapest ones, Paradox Rift is still at $138.

We're like what, 2 months removed from the release of Twilight? My LCS usually sells packs of sets that's been out for this long for $3. When I went the other day, they were asking $4. Not sure how much supply they have but it definitely seems like they're riding the Greninja/Eevee hype wave. I bought 4 packs and got a Probopass IR, haha. Fun cost was high on that small purchase.

It's always cheaper to buy singles for every set. There isn't one set that it's better to open packs. 151 got close at one point but to get a complete set it's still far cheaper to buy singles because you won't pull perfectly. Opening packs is super fun but it certainly takes a good bit of disposable income.

Paldea Evolved’s Magikarp took longer to go from $50 to $100+ than this Eevee took to go from $40 to $70. Magikarp took about 9 months, while Eevee took only 2 months. There’s debate as to “why?”, but it is a pattern of IR/SIR cards in SV going boom in percentage value increased.

Invest in 2 boxes each set and buy the best chase card as a single. Of loading 2 booster boxes with the best chase card will sell very well in years to come because you’re offsetting the risk for the buyer when they know they’re getting the chase card 100% and 2 boxes to chance pulling it again

Only worth it to me if theres other cards that i like or have worth(monetary,playability,artwork etc), otherwise the opening experience sucks in my experience. With me it was lost origin i gave up on that tina, other than that i only really like 5 cards. With the pull rates being low and not alot of value from the rest of the set, u get pissed pretty often lol. Imagine opening a 120$ bb to only get back 15$ worth of cards. At least with lets say paldea evolved id spend 95-110$ to get back a decent amount back that i can put towards more product

I bought a single booster box of twilight masquerade on my birthday with the sole purpose of pulling the greninja and i managed to pull it and the eevee from the same box. Was a good birthday. Unfortunately the greninja doesn’t look like psa 10 quality but still super awesome to have pulled. Most expensive card i’ve ever pulled

Great video as always, try living in the uk where booster boxes release at around $130 and never go on sale. I don’t open any booster boxes any more and I end up just buying the cards I want on the secondary market. It’s not worth the cost right now 😢

You are comparing the raw value to the box which is great, but the value is truly in grading these cards. PSA 10's of Greninja go for 700~, eevee's going for 300~. Huge value and why people are trying to pull Minty fresh ones due to poor quality control.

Yeah it’s not going to drop below that. Even lowest price in its history was $102. $105 is the usual price before the chase/fear of stock running out driving prices up.

I’ve gotta say, I strongly disagree with your $2 bulk V estimate. Even if you sell a $.40 card for $2 on ebay, you have to pay for shipping, materials, and fees. No store would take bulk V cards for over $.75, and I think that’s pushing it. Either way, I think $.50 would be a better average for bulk V cards.

The pullrates are tough. I opened 2 boxes 2 ETB and 1 Bundle The note worthy pulls (by current market price) are as follows 1 Greninja EX SIR 1 Perrin SIR 1 Eevee IR 1 Infernape IR Obviously i hade way more "hits" but yeah.
