That's some great gameplay, first time I'm seeing perfect guard used so easily, was a nightmare in the last one. Although I saw you having to put up with the slow reacting camera controls especially the centering function. Even with that, you were wrecking havoc on those Ash Aragami. Kudos.

That's a great run, love how you just guard the devour of Balmung and Anubis, makes them way less dangerous ;) (Can't realy on the usual be on higher ground trick for Balmung on this one) Also i really should try crafting that Airgetlam sword, i'm using a non-elemental buster blade, wonder if i'm not missing a couple of damage. Not like i want to speedrun, but the longer it takes, the easier i get rekt^^;

@@leikainferanox scythe has at least these two: inferno slash and dystopia Dystopia is a quad hit sky cleaver with stupid high range though doesnt benefit from extend bite perks and inferno rush is a singular point faster horziontal fang turned into a vertical spam. Couple with BRT that at burst 3 your stamina near insta regens and you have the fastest singular target aragami killer ive seen so far. I honestly hope they dont nerf BAs instead they buff the argami the game could do with a slightly higher skill ceiling. Just hope that if they do try and buff gami they dont overdo it as to disuade casuals

Hi Brent, I just accessed the Rank 2 missions. This is my first God Eater game. I was wondering how viable it is to solo the entire game like Monster Hunter? Do I need to level up my NPC allies? Or can I just do all the missions solo without any repercussions?

You can. You may get bodied and struggle more than you need to and hard a hard time learning how to play the game as a result but its possible.

I think you could have done it with Long Blade equally good. I tought long blade will be as crappy as it was in Rage Burst where Buster Blade was melee king, but now it's good, even very good. Tough i think they actually did good job balancing weapons this time. Long Blade got basically every type of damage covered now and generate OP like crazy so you can use ray gun a lot as well or IE for crush. It's unexpected but weapon is really good.

Well i used Buster Blade in 1st [before ressurection. didn't played that one] and Burst, but in 3rd i don't know. It kind of feels weaker than it used to in Burst. CC was heavy nerfed and i liked that mech in Burst a lot. Now it's i dono... just not the same.

does the breaker acceleration trigger do significantly more than warlord? breaker is 30% while warlord is 25%. but breaker must hit broken parts for damage bonus and require devours on certain areas to trigger. warlord does 25% but doesn't require specific place to hit for bonus and can trigger from devours anywhere despite requiring 5 instead of 4.

Can you parry Ra's Devour attacks just like how you did for the Ashborns like Balmung's? I tend to steer clear of it but find inconsistent success.

You can dash dive block his devour attack but it has a VERY small chance to work I've pulled it off a few times. But it's rather hard. Either sit behind him run hella far or sit on top of him to avoid it best way to do it. Normal blocking doesn't work on devour attacks bit right timed air dove blocks work it seems xd

You can perfect guard all Devour. But there's not much need to do it for Ra. His is easy to deal with. Edit: for Ra, the General idea is to keep an eye on the minimap and dash in on him to where he teleports before he starts his Devour. You're pretty much safe at his feet and even the middle of hit torso when you're close. Can even do a full charge devour.

I dislike fighting Dromi with the Buster. That and I have tons of Anubis experience from the demo. Edit: Scythe's range can explain the difference on Dromi.

As for scythe yeah the range is probably doing it all for me as I never place lower than 2nd on the assaults against him but his rank7 fight with a barbarius is a pain in the ass no matter what

Yeah, he's probably the hardest Ash Aragami in my opinion. You really gotta learn how to fight him or he bodies you free. Its a shame Anubis is a bit squishy because he's actually my favorite thing to fight in this game.

Probably most effective solo strategy is to get devoured on purpose then open up the Ray Gun on the "core" on his neck. Its an untidy way of playing, but it might get the job done efficiently.

Hi bk, im pretty late into the game. Just curious, do the weapons available from assault mission have higher stats than the ones from normal mission? Can't seem to solo them as of now haha.

Not really. All of them are variations of existing weapons outside of the Odin weapons and they are not very good imo.

@@bkbrent aite, thanks! Went through your guide but I didn't see blueprints stuff there. This is pretty random btw, but to this day, my fav monster-hunting game would be freedom wars. Really wish there's a sequel.
