As for the tail rotor, same concept as a rudder on a plane, the more airspeed you have the more force there is to counter your yaw. If you simply lose a tail rotor on a helo and still have the tail boom, with enough forward momentum you will retain relatively stable flight.

O phly, you didn't played many helicopter games. I played one for some time and it haves the same control as in WT. When I played helis 1st time was so easy. I get killed more often in a plane or tank than in a helicopter, I didn't connected yet my joystick. For me, was the most surprising thing brought in this game.

The 40mms are essentially strafe guns that work well if against light to medium tanks. Best to try gunning for TDs in the distance by sneaking up then landing early behind the enemy lines then turning your engine off and waiting a little before taking them by surprise :)

Aaron Bartlett helicopters are large and the engines take a while to start up, if the enemy can’t see you you probably can’t see them.

As a former cobra pilot I suppose the tactics used in these games is more for fun but in reality with a tow missile we could hit targets out till about 2.3 mi. The 20 mm is effective up to 2000 yd the Rockets are good at close to 5 mi. We have no need to get that close. On a good day they will never know where the fire is coming from. It has the ability to airmail high explosive rounds to a target that will never ever see or hear you. Just say'n.

Also dont go in willy nilly, try to stay low and fast and take time to set up an approach where you can engage and when disengaging there will be cover instead of open air
