Kids at this age are just beyond precious. I’m a 76yr. old uncle of 5 nieces and nephew. I never married but the times I babysat them were some of my bestest times in my life, I now realize that I should have gotten married and had children, lots of children. We would have had a ball together. I’m a kid at heart and we would do all kinds of stuff like yard work together and tearing around the house and maybe even putting socks together in pairs if things got a wee bit boring.

This is precious! One of my favorite pictures of our boys is them in a laundry basket. Our older son who was about 6 or 7 put a pillow in the basket. He and his little brother climbed in. When I heard our older son reading to his brother and saw them in the laundry basket, I had to get a picture. So glad I did. It is precious to me. Our boys are now 44 and 39. Enjoy every moment. They go by all too quickly.

Really cute! I have twins as well. I’m looking at the laundry basket and remembering my friend telling me that she uses a laundry basket in the tub when she gave her kids a bath. Great way to bathe two very active babies. High sides made it safer so they couldn’t climb out plus it was easier for my husband and I to wash them. They’re both almost 29 now and shook their heads at me when I told them about bath time!

i always envied twins. Having this shared history in the whomb. That creates a bond that no single child can experience. The twins here are really having conversations . They understand each other. They are connected and this is so great to watch. They are fascinating. Not only twin speak, but also speak of my 2-year old Indian neighbor girl is fascinating. She actually talks with me. In long sentences, with gestures and all, she tells me something and makes it a dialogue. The parents do not understand what she says, it is mostly abacadabra. To me too, because I am Dutch and do not speak Indian. I just talk back, in Dutch. And we have great conversations. She picks up a lot of my Dutch words and uses them in her speak.

I'm the mother of 35 yr old identical twins, and I'm here to tell you twinspeak is real. By the time they were four months the language had developed enough for them to hold simple conversations. By the time they could walk, about ten or eleven months, it was a complicated and accurate language. To this day they have revealed very few words of their language to anyone else. In fact, they usually deny it exists, but they'll stand close and jabber to each other and it's obviously not English. If you ask, they'll claim you misheard, of course it was English. This language even includes insults.
@113dmg92 жыл бұрын
Very interesting.

@@113dmg9 Very interesting. LOL Their baby doctor tried to get them to talk some of it to him to see if they could be part of a language arts study, but at the age of three all he managed was to outrage them into sullen silence or crying anger. One of them offered to bite him on the neck if he asked again. I told him a lady has to have her honor and I wouldn't protect him if she went vampire on him.
@113dmg92 жыл бұрын
@@Blue-rl5dp - The way kids interact is very interesting, but with twins it is more unique. So are you saying that they still twin-speak with each other, but they deny it?
@Blue-rl5dp2 жыл бұрын
@@113dmg9 Yes, they still speak it, heavily interspersed with English these days, but I hear a lot of words and the way it's put together that is their own. They deny it, claiming it's plain English, but they don't talk that way to anyone but each other and only when it's private between them.
