Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it. Check out my playlist on “Tshasta4449” for a video of Julie Clark flying her T28

It's a blast to fly props. It's not for those who get bored quickly lol.

You’re right, it’s definitely old school

I see the concept of turning the props thru to prevent liquid lock. I see the precaution of turning in reverse in case of a hot mag and accidental ignition. That said --- they are turning these thru in normal rotation - to the right.

Yes, I noticed that also, I don’t have an answer, usually the reason for turning backwards was if there is oil in the cylinder the exhaust valve will open first to expel the fluid, not possible when turning clockwise.

how long did it take them? and how many pit stops?
@Tshasta44494 жыл бұрын
I never found out, in researching specs it had a maximum range of about 1000 nm. So I figure they probably made at least 3 stops and could have made it home in 2 days. Cruise speed was 165 knots.

46 gallon per hour burn rate on two 76 gal main tanks-two 25 gal rear aux tanks and it may have a 60 gallon nose tank. So you can do the math.
