Quick question for you. I was interested in this lift after watching you install it and I went to Twin Busch's website and they had a installation video. During the video the mention three phase connection, yet I saw in an earlier video you connected to a standard 115 VAC with a 15 amp connector. Was their video a mistake then? Also how much pressure is needed to release the mechanical locks? I'm very interested in getting one of these once I finish releveling my garage. Thanks for any help.

The price listed on their website right now is $3149...is that your price as well? I have a truck and trailer. Live in Landenberg, PA 19350. Can this be picked up at a depot or is direct shipping the only/best way? Thanks

I was waiting for this video, I considered this but i'm still going to go forward with the 2-post lift. i'm on the fence about rotary, bend pak, etc. i originally opted for the xpr-10as-lp in a wide config so i can drive the vette, gt-r, etc up and the low profile arms will clear the rockers but i'm still shopping, it should be installed in a month or two.

So, which down button brings the lift down onto the safety blocks? First thing I ever learned about a lift is that after raising, you let down onto the safeties. Would down 2 be the one that doesn't blow the air to the safeties so you can bring it down to the nearest safety spot?
@ObsessedGarage
@ObsessedGarage 5 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's necessary on the this lift. The latches are only a few inches apart. Should the hydraulics fail, the latch will catch almost immediately.
@2010stoof
@2010stoof 5 жыл бұрын
@@ObsessedGarage oh ok. So do both the down buttons blow the air to release the levers? Or just #1?
@ObsessedGarage
@ObsessedGarage 5 жыл бұрын
#1 blows them to lower it all the way down to the lower limit switch (about 12" from the ground). Then you release 1 and push 2 to lower it the rest of the way to the floor.
@2010stoof
@2010stoof 5 жыл бұрын

I was planning on recessing mine into the floor, can you explain a bit about why this one isn't best for that? Also with mostly short wheelbase sports cars being my thing is there any reason not to remove those extensions?
@ObsessedGarage
@ObsessedGarage 5 жыл бұрын
This one doesn't work as well for recessing as something like the Benpak SP-7X. The extensions are going be necessary for a lot of cars. For example a 5 series won't fit without them.
@FredAllenBurge
@FredAllenBurge 5 жыл бұрын
@@ObsessedGarage gotcha. I was thinking about recessing the whole thing including the ramps. When it's all the way down I'll have blocks down in there to hold the ramps up level with the rest of the platforms. Do you think that'll work? (The bendpak is out of budget for me.)
@FredAllenBurge
@FredAllenBurge 4 жыл бұрын
Update on this - I ended up getting this lift and recessing it in my floor. I also removed all 4 ramps and cut off the hinges. Everything seems good so far! Also a set of 4 harbor freight car dollies are perfect for moving these around before you're ready to set them in their final spots. And an engine hoist works well for lifting them and setting them in place.

This is great content and spot on, unfortunately this lift is a complete piece of garbage. It took me too long to get it installed with a custom flush install and now it’s out of warranty. It’s never lifted a car and will only barely lift itself. Dan at Twin Busch hasn’t been able to resolve it. They don’t stock the motor, so it’s the most expensive raised desk ever. Dan blames the power, the electrician says the power is fine. The high magnetic breaker is BS. It’s on a 30 amp dedicated circuit .I can’t trust it to lift a car and risk it getting stuck on the locks. If I can’t get a motor then I guess it’s scap. I am glad Matt doesn’t sell these anymore. A ton of money wasted. Spend 10k and get one that works. Again, zero fault of OG!
@johnwalters878
@johnwalters878 Жыл бұрын
UPDATE: So after working with Dan and Twin Busch in Germany. The lift is still worthless. It won’t even lift itself reliably without stalling the motor. All they do is blame my power, which is not the case. It’s a 15 amp lift ffs. SO DO NOT BUY THIS POS. The refuse to sell me a motor or troubleshoot anything hydraulic related. So I am on my own to either try to disassemble the entire thing to find the issue, or just scrap it. I thought this would be a dream to get a sub 5000.00 lift, but it’s a nightmare. Now for the good: This is the best video on the planet to set up this lift! IF you have one of these that works, use this bleedout/leveling procedure and it’s almost perfect without doing anything. Good luck! Unfortunately I cannot post it here, so reach out to me and I can send the pdf if you want.

@johnwalters878

Yes! I did finally get it working good. I ended up replacing the motor. Costs 400 bucks, but at least it fixed it. I argued with Dan for months, but finally ended up being the motor despite him telling me it couldn’t be bad. I did let him know that it resolved it, so in the future it won’t automatically get rejected as the problem. I do plan on getting the motor torn down to see why it failed. It runs fine with no load, but just won’t produce rated power.
@j-pj4us
@j-pj4us 7 ай бұрын
@@johnwalters878 I have the exact same problem. Runs fine with no load, but locks up when installed. I assume it’s not producing the power it’s supposed to. Very disappointed in Dan and twinbush
@johnwalters878
@johnwalters878 7 ай бұрын
Yeah if you are still having the issue and you have verified you have a solid 20 amp circuit, then just call Dan and order a motor. I am in CA and it was about 65.00 to ship and I thing the motor was 399.00. It’s my fault for waiting on installing before the warranty expired.

It's an eye-opener, but if you were to build these yourself, even with a logo of your choice then start from the bottom up and go price all the wheels, lower cradles , buckets, stickers, lids, grit guards and have them all shipped to you and you're already over $200. he's buying in bulk and passing the savings onto you. no one works for free so his profit margin is around 30%. shipping is $50-ish and he has no control over that.
