Nicely done video. You answered all my questions even things I didn't think about. Enjoyed a full-watch. Yup, I can imagine digging the pit holes for the lift panels in that hot, humid heat. I'm going through that type of heat spell now. Have a fine week. 👍🏽🤠 8/27/23

I had a QJ and really liked it. I have never considered a scissor lift, they had zero appeal to me…until now. I really like how this one was mounted. I like how it could be used as a table if you wanted. I think this will be my next lift. Very impressed. Good video and really good job on the install of the lift.

Nice video! We just got our Rav 535 lift from Italy. It was 9500$ so way more expensive than a Twinbush, but its a 3.5t lift what should be a little under 7700 pounds. After our bad experience with our 1 post made in China lift, we decided to get a lift made in Germany or Italy.

@@stefanolci1708 First it would not work, then the wiring fell apart, it was not welded straight, it started to wear a lot. It was also starting to bend before reaching its supposed max weight. The side opposing the Lift was always hanging down, more with heavier car. Also the tolerances were really bad, what led to the cars on the lift moving more than they should.

Great video man! Now I'm designing my workshop, something small just for my own use, and I don't know at what height to stop. I want to make it as small as possible because the winter is very cold here and I want to heat it. Please tell me how high your garage is above the elevator, (I make the ceiling straight, I don't have a slope) Thank you
@FredAllenBurge
@FredAllenBurge 8 ай бұрын
Thanks! Height of you shop then will probably depend upon height of average car you intend to lift plus about 6' for the space to walk under. That's how I determined if my shop could accommodate this lift olus a mid sized car. I measured all my cars from frame rail to roof + 6' and tjat showed me that it could be done. Good luck on your shop!

I left the ramps on mine and just leave them level with the rest of the lift. It allows me to have a longer car on the lift. If I need to drop them down I can. I did my pour ahead of time. It was a bit of a pain to get the measurements correct.
@johnwalters878
@johnwalters878 Жыл бұрын
I really wanted to like this lift. After all the work to get the concrete floor poured to fit the ramps, hide the hoses and the flush mount worked perfectly. It still allows me to use the ramps for longer vehicles. Unfortunately the lift will not lift a car after it ever stops mid-raise. I have got nothing but run around from Dan at Twin Busch. They blame my power, no high magnetic breaker, low voltage, etc. I ran a dedicated 30 amp circuit. It just bogs and won’t run with weight on it. They don’t stock a new motor. It’s literally never worked other than lift itself. It’s out of warranty and basically scrap. Save your money and buy a bendpack or nussbalm
@johnwalters878
@johnwalters878 Жыл бұрын
I am still getting the run around from from them. They say I don’t have enough power, and that electricians don’t know anything ( literally ) it’s still never worked and they won’t sell me a new motor even. It’s pretty much scrap metal at this point. My last ditch effort will be to remove the motor and have it looked at locally. Even if I do get it working, I doubt I will ever trust it. So I think either way I will get rid of it. I really hope you have good luck with yours.

I had the trusses built up with a peak in the middle to maximize headroom, that was necessary to make full lift height work for my shop. At 10' flat ceilings I think a small car's roof is going to be very close to hitting.

I think Nusbaum goes the highest. I have a 2 post Nusbaum but I'm moving house soon and I don't do a lot of mechanical work any more and those 2 posts really get in the way when your parking your car in between them. I also have a 18 foot hovercraft and the scissor would be ideal to lift it. I guess no one hoist is perfect for every job.

I have a question that is probably a bit unusual. I'm struggling to find a scissor lift that lifts about as high as this one, but doesn't need to lift more than approx. 150 kg. The size and height of the lift you show is ideal, and should only lift a maximum of two adults for use with a larger astronomical telescope. I therefore do not need a double lift like you have, nor as powerful. Do you have an idea where I can find such a lift at a good price? Thank you in advance.
