I take it this ride is multi engine training or do you already have your rating? Twin Comanche is a bit slow at 8,000 you had the power set at 19X2,310 or what is about 57-60% i figure. And an IAS of 128-129 kts., showing a TAS 149 kts. and it looks like you had plenty of headwind. I don't have any PA-39 time one of the few birds I haven't flown, but I figured about 170 kts at 8,000 would be more normal. My V35B indicates 148 kts at 11,500 (176 TAS) at 20X2400 or 59%. Maybe my airspeed indicator has a bent needle. However I was light at the time, 500# under GW. PA39 should have similar performance. Looks like fun flying that day in and out of the low cloud deck. Keep working at it.

I’ve got the rating and about 100hrs of twin time at this point. You are right, it is slow but that’s because we’re going at 55% power as we’re building time and saving gas money

N # is probably PA30, but not difference. Great fun video guys! Time building so why go fast, lean her out, suck fumes, spend less build time! I'll do the same at 20" @2400 rpms, peak and got 160 KTAS on 14 gph in my 69 PA30C -1773

@@MrSmddmd PA-39 was the designation for a Twin Comanche C/R., But yeah, if you're building time, slow down, spend less. Are you a dentist or an md?
