Was really hoping the new Twin Peaks would be good. It's better than good. Lynch is now in his 70s and he's still got it. Haven't been this stoked on a series in a long time.

I feel as though the meta side to this entire scene is that we as the viewer are like Cooper's surprise son, chuckling at the shear oddity of this series as it slowly gets going again, and enthralled with its return.

Kyle McLaughlin should have won multiple awards for just that scene....He proved himself a world class actor again and again in the Twin Peaks "Saga" over the years.....Could there be more? I hope the well isn't dry...... but time is ticking..... this year is 2024....☕

We have to be like a childlike dougie- it's very deep actually what's happening with Dougie in this show, I don't think many people understand. All I can say is that Dougie is the blueprint of joy, happiness, life. When he sees the disappointed boy, not bored, not sad, but 'trapped' it made Dougie cry. Putting the neck tie on the head is also important. Dougie knows what a tie is. He did that to put a smile on the boys face.

That's what I thought until I re-watched the scene in Season One where they're getting ready to throw rocks at bottles to try and figure out who killed Laura. So--Lucy serves Cooper coffee; he tastes of it, then spits it out, then exclaims in typical Cooper lingo how much he likes it. Odd way to show he likes it, but whatever. On another note, the actor playing his wife looks anorexic. I can't think of her name offhand, but I like her and I hope she's okay.
