I think he said a lot. Got enough budget for the series, death of art and finding solace in TV and does not care of the new Hollywood pre-se-quel-reboot-comics wave. Good for him, good for us.

Why is it that everytime I see nonsensical comments like this it has to be from someone subscribed to these far right channels?

I would have to agree with David about arthouses being dead in cinema. Even if you were to able to self produce your own feature film without asking studios or producers for funding, with a budget just low enough that it would still make a profit regardless how well it did in the box office, studios/distributers would still not distribute the film. But you would be able to show the films through film festivals, blu ray/dvd releases, and even online streaming. But David is a firm believer of seeing film in a theater.

Well he has a "cult following" of people that seek out his work but even he had a hard time starting out and was rejected finally the Toronto screen festival agreed to show Eraserhead and he gained an audience less opportunity for artsy types now though people want superhero CGI garbage instead now I'm not interested in that genre personally.

Season 3 is already one of my favorite things to see on the screen. Mencken once predicted (and I paraphrase) that someone will figure out how to successfully convey emotion uniquely through the motion captured by cinema (not just through a narrative adapted from a book), and it won't be very expensive. David Lynch is easily the closest I've seen to achieving that.

His films Mullholland Drive & Inland Empire are becoming more relevant today, after what scandals have come out in the music and film industry.

I love Twin Peaks so much. But I'm not sure if David should revisit the Twin Peaks Universe one last time, or just move on. I hope we get more but at the same time I'm fully satisfied with what he's already given us.

I hate it when interviewers ask directors what they meant for the viewer to feel in a certain scene or for them to explain the themes in a film explicity. Surely that's part of the experience in watching a piece of cinema - to be able to interpret it how you want, isn't it? David Lynch's work has moved me greatly. The first time I watched Mullholland Drive or Lost Highway or Blue Velvet, I knew it was brilliant and how I personally interpreted them. The last thing I wanted to do was to find out how I should feel about them off someone else. Lynch handles this interview brilliantly though.

William Mullally is one of the most tactful and non ego centric interviewers I've listened to. Give him more assignments. Clearly David Lynch couldn't talk too much and he respected that and for that reason I know he's an interviewer who puts the guest first.
