It was filmed in the Ennis House a famous Frank Loyd Wright building in Los Angeles which has been used in a lot of movies. Most recognisable as Deckards apartment in Blade Runner but also notably a murder mystery staring Vincent Price called The House on Haunted Hill. Interestingly Vincent Price was also in a 1944 Gene Tierney movie called Laura which was about a detective investigating the death of a beautiful popular young woman who turns out to have a sinister secret.

Some of it was in the original series, like when Montana hits Chet, he says "Listen here you little fruit loop, you're done, done !" *smack hit* "Don't ever cross me ! Ha ha ha !" and then at the end, before shooting Montana, Chet says: "I wasn't fooling, Montana !" *bang* (with Nadine watching in Twin Peaks saying: "you show em Chet, you show all of them")

@RichardRBarrett4 жыл бұрын
It was one of the more “meta” aspects of the first season in particular - kind of a jokey (maybe in-jokey) commentary on the more self-consciously soap opera-esque elements of the main story. So when an actress already established as one character shows up playing another character, we would have the announcer for “Invitation to Love” announcing the actress who plays two roles in ItL. When a character got shot in the main storyline, he wound up watching Montana get shot on ItL as he collapsed. That kind of thing. To the extent that Twin Peaks was functioning as a soap opera send-up, this was a send-up of the send-up.
@planetofthegapes2 жыл бұрын
Essentially, it answers the question: if Twin Peaks is part soap opera, then what do people in soap operas watch for their soap operas? Something EVEN MORE ridiculous and contrived.
