Holy moly. The new Tundras are pretty nice. Curious about the V6 however. I imagine they'll go back to the V8. Their 4.7 V8 is legendary at this point.

When talking about the minimal trimming to fit the tires, what areas did you trim?

just around the wheel base but we really didn't trim much at all as the tires fit very well on the build

The thing that kills me that Toyota is doing basically following the American trucks is yielding and putting in Turbo 6's in the bigger vehicles & Turbo 4's in the medium vehicles.. in my mind I'm like nooooooo.. People may be like well, why? You're getting better performance & better Towing.. ok, yes.. but what I'm losing is... that long term reliability that I love. Most often when you Turbo or Supercharge especially a gas engine.. that is the sacrifice. Because you're taking what a normal V6 would do.. and ramping it up.. like feeding yourself loads of energy drinks or speed.. long term it will cost you. What I loved about the older Tundra, Tacoma & 4Runner & even the unibody Highlander is that the engine/trans while not as "advanced" as some of the competition.. they had a reputation to last 350,000 miles all the way up to 1M miles! And I feel (I do hope I'm wrong) that these new engines will be great when they're new but at the 90k-120k we'll start to see more and more issues. Especially if these trucks are used like they were meant to loaded up & towing a lot. Again... I hope I'm wrong and that Toyota has the magic combination that will leave competitors in awe.. but I don't think that will be the case. All that Neg Nellie being said... It's an absolutely beautiful truck. Totally looks bad ass. Love the features & the color. ...And I entered to Win it. I'd put my theories to the test if I won with the hope to prove myself wrong.
