Did you ever hook up the water lines to these turbos ? How long did you run them without water ? I’m in the process of installing mine

Yeah I ran the water to them from the beginning. Figured kept them cooler would help them last longer

I’m trying to do a 5.3 twin turbo I’m wondering what is the best size turbos to run that won’t be to big and cause lag which ones u think are the best to run with least lag but most performance

Did your vsr turbos come with v band flanges to use? Mine did, and the hot inlet (2.5”) one was an odd flange. It didn’t have a counterbore to insert the pipe to weld, but rather the pipe was supposed to slip over the flange. I’ve never seen one like it. Don’t like it. Was yours like that?

How and why are mirrored turbos more expensive? Because they have to make another casting mold? lol They look so much better. They're a must-have for people with even a slight case of OCD. lol

Yeah I’d assume mainly machining and setup time. I agree it definitely satisfies my OCD and that’s the reason I bought them lol. Butttttt for practicability, I think it will bite me in the long run haha

How much were these bro? And around what RPM do you start to see boost/spool?

$700 a piece on vs racing website I believe and they come in around 2700 RPMs

Never gonna see any boost as long as they are mounted like they are. The turbos are mounted to the headers on the exhaust side

@@Rev2lateRacing gotcha tryna figure out which twins to run on my built 5.3 Gonna shoot for over 1200. Would love to do mirror image and vband in and out. Just dont know what these are capable of making.

@@Tookoff from what I hear these are definitely capable of making 1200hp, probably much more. But this is my first boosted engine so I’m trying to take baby steps as I learn everything
