How much it did it cost to rebuild with machine work, gaskets kit ,rings etc..

For new head gaskets, rings, head bolts, lifters, push rods, and trunion upgrade, was about $500. The head work can vary depending on the condition of your heads. My intake valves were starting to distort, as many LS’s do, so they had to be replaced. But the head work was about $600us.

There are a lot of people about there taking a stock LS motor and throwing a cheap turbo setup on it, and the numbers they’re making are around 600-650whp. Some people hit higher numbers. But the higher you turn it up, the reliability goes down.
