“Made in America” is not a phrase you see much anymore, but the men and women who work at Twin Vee PowerCats, Inc., are very proud to put The American Dream Boat insignia on every power catamaran boat they produce.
Twin Vee PowerCats has been manufacturing its unique power catamarans in Florida for 23 years, beginning by bringing added stability and performance to small open tenders. Progressively larger hulls were developed using trial and error methods to discover the absolute best performance characteristics. With these time-tested multi-hull designs, Twin Vee’s BayCat and OceanCat models have gained a reputation as “The Best Riding Boats on the Water™.”
In 1997, Twin Vee moved from Miami to Ft. Pierce, a town with history in the marine industry. Twin Vee has continued to build boats in the area for 20 years.
The Company was purchased in 2015 by Joseph Visconti and now trades under the symbol TVPC. Visconti became interested after a factory tour where the company’s employees and its history of innovation impressed him.
As the new CEO, Visconti has invested in manufacturing technology that would augment the company’s traditional hand-built process. After two years, Twin Vee’s most popular models have been updated with many new standard features and the newly refurbished factory is set to deliver boats at a record pace.
“We’re building two things at once here,” says Visconti. “We’re building a dream-boat and the American Dream for everyone who works at Twin Vee. So we’re proudly calling it ‘The American Dream Boat.’”

Great boats! I have a 2001 170 with an Evinrude Etec 50 HP. The boat has been durable, soft riding, fuel efficient, and fast for size and power. I hope the new company owners don't forget their loyal boat owners when it comes to parts, service, and follow up with older models.
