These 747 planes are gorgeous I load these planes almost every other day they're great to be right next to , its like nothing in the world hard to imagine that these planes can get off the ground but they do with all that thrust behind them....engineering at its greatest....

It looks looks Like he taxied from the cargo ramp on taxiway Tango, to Runway 4, to taxiway Alpha..... Once on Alpha, instead of taxing all the way to Alpha #1, he took Alpha #7 ONTO runway 30L (the same runway he eventually took off from) down to Alpha #3, then BACK onto taxiway Alpha and down to Alpha #1. Weird. I've never seen them do that on a clear sunny day with little traffic. Must've been an obstruction on (or near) the Alpha and Bravo taxiways.... Great video. I love 747's!

They could've used runway 30R (they used 30L in this video) and it would have indeed been a longer taxi. lolol. They could maybe shorten taxi time in this video (not by much) if they used taxiway Whisky instead of Alpha but for some reason they like to send the larger planes down Alpha. Taxiway Whiskey might be a bit narrow near W5 and W6...... However, I have seen 747s use Whiskey in the past... 🙂

At :55 we hear a single engine prop plane. I'm near rwy 12L/30R and every morning between roughly 6:30am and 8:30am I hear a few of those taking off on 12L. Any idea who they belong to and what they do?

It's been a few years (5) since I've been on the airfield at MSP but there was a bunch of single engine prop planes that were always parked near/on the cargo ramp. Apparently, these little planes were used to distribute newspapers around the state. Not sure if they're still doing that these days... I'm sure there are other planes for other reasons nowadays

It's normal to see a few of those parked there. Across the airport you'll often see Delta jets parked near their hangar. During 2020 there were several times as many Sun Country jets sitting there.
