They nails on the keys are doing something for me. That voice did even more. Church Girl threw me off the way it started off. I like the song, but I’m always fixated on the sample of any song and I love it when new music takes me to places like this. I don’t even listen to gospel but hearing that intro and now hearing her sing… I need to hear more of her!

I listened to Twinkie when I was a child and fashioned my style of playing the organ after her. She also inspired me as a young girl to sing. That was over 45 years ago. I thank my Elohim for her and the Clark Sisters.

I am so grateful for this because I knew from the very first time when I initially heard the sample there was something about it that completely took over MY SOUL. it allowed me to feel/be happy. It allowed me to feel/be sad. It allowed me continuously feel/be content.... Now I can sing both of these songs especially this originally even far longer for hours on end like in the shower this morning @ 5am 7/24/23. But, I just don't understand how a sampling of this classic can then be followed up by lyrics suggesting that girls drop it like a thottie and church girl actin' loose, is somehow "ok". I think this was a good reason to why she made this video in the first place. She wanted to bring it back to God, and she did it with Grace and poise. People are going to listen to that sample in the song and look up what it is to find this and the original Clark sister song. Never put God in a box! She used this beautiful music to make a song about dropping it like a thottie in a club with her 'tig bitties' out. I think the blessing of this music went ignored by her. I personally wouldn't have thanked her for taking my music and using it as reinforcement and promotion for a song and a message like that like and I'm surprised not to see any outright condemnation of what that sample was used for but, at the very least, perhaps it reached those who were previously unaware of this song so hopefully some blessings can still come to those who heard that trash but are open to being centered in his will.

How was it wrong for her to thank Beyonce for listening to her music. Her choice of words was clearly intentional. She thanked her for LISTENING to her music, not for SAMPLING it. And then sang the song she had written so that people who didn't know the song except for the sampled line might be ""blessed" by it. And she did it without a spirit of condemnation.

That was a much more powerful witness than a spirit of condemnation would have conveyed.
