Mikey Grayson Yeah. Dark Cloud, the series, is by far the greatest series I have ever played in my life. I'm so glad I happened to come across it at Game Stop.

The nostalgia is hitting me hard right now. I wish I could go back in time to play this with my sister during the summer holidays. It's still one of my favourite games to this day.

one of the best tracks I think, I use to deliberately run around the area missing out the teleporters so I could hear the soundtrack for longer

IMO it's the theme of present Balance Valley for me. The flutes and piano parts play the right tunes that send me into a calm. But nothing can beat Cloud's theme from FFVII. Roaming the expanse of Gaia as it sprawls over the lower half of the screen, while the sky spreads out endlessly above. It make you feel like tiny adventurer in a wide open world filled with people, stuff and places just waiting to be discovered by you.

this tune was what made me consciously realize that games had music; even with the rest of the games music being absolute fire and me having played games before. . . it never clicked that i was playing with video game music; thank you Dark Chronicle for my first glimpse into music appreciation.

it's so sad that we don't find these type of soundtracks and gaming experience in today games, sadly the world is turning more towards being more immersive and online experience multiplayer gaming, loot, loot, legandry items, legandry clothes, the player forgot about everything the game has to offer from story to everything and concerned about the loot, those single player games will be extinct
@AlmightyPolarBear5 жыл бұрын
I find it is like that, and also games that are not games at all just interactive stories, mobile games, and if a game can be used for online video creation. Game developers are focusing on those areas.
@8-bitsarda7475 жыл бұрын
But there's still games like Fire Emblem and Dragon Quest being made, which have almost always been story focused

Double negative's work depending on context and slang, another example " you can't not like chocolate" its a double negative but it makes sense. wan't to try taking your misinterpreted intelligence elsewhere?
@proudtobeme1ashkente9 жыл бұрын
Malakai Buchanan No. "You can *not* deny that this is *not* beautiful." Your other example works, because it doesn't have the word deny in it. If it did, it wouldn't work, too, like "You can not deny chocolate does not taste good". The way you said it you imply that you think, this is not beautiful and sasha can't deny it.
@Astral-Wubs9 жыл бұрын
aha english context sometimes uses double negatives, i was trying to say that its impossible to say this isn't beautiful ;)

Whats the instrument behind the guitar making the boop boooop bop noises ?
@thekynosaur52926 жыл бұрын
Prism Sage Late reply but here we go... Good question! I'm pretty sure all the instruments in the soundtrack are sampled/fake (although all the acoustic guitar sounds are really convincing). This one doesn't seem to be emulating any kind of instrument though, if my memory serves me well we'd call this a "square wave". Its just a synthetic sound. Beep boop boops are quite fitting for this area so it makes sense. If you *really* wanted it to be an instrument I would tell you it's a poor imitation of a flute playing at the bottom of its range.
