Twinmotion 23: Path Tracer and Lumen Settings

Hi everyone,
In this video we take a look at the settings for Twinmotions Path Tracer, as well as the newer Lumen. I'll go through the settings and what they do, and at the end give some thoughts on this supposedly "Game Changing" tech....

My friend thank you very much for the informative video you explain things very nice. I have only one question in Twinmotion 2023.2.2 edu i cant see the aliasing filtering is there an alternative setting for sharpness?

Mike, great question. If you are using the latest version of TM, Anti Aliasing is removed, and a new sharpening filter is available under the Camera Settings button. Thanks for the kind comment, and for watching! Cheers.

Well done, thank you! But I still have problems with this update: I tried to work on any settings, but I keep getting extremely blurry images, which didn't happen with the previous version. What could be the problem?

The Anti Aliasing setting has been removed from the Render tab, and is now under the camera tab, and has been renamed 'Sharpness'. You can crank that to get sharper images!

Farid, I do not have the sample file uploaded anywhere, but I’ll see if I can attach it somewhere. I think it’s hand made by me, with assets from the SketchUp Warehouse.

which is the balanced laptop configuration to run twinmotion path tracer ??? i currently have gtx1650 i5 10thgen and it doesn't work

I think you will need to upgrade the hardware. I strongly recommend using a desktop for TM, as Lumen and PT are resource heavy.

Running Lumen on my 2GB GPU should count as a miracle 💀

I can't seem to find the anti aliasing filter slider under the path tracing settings and I can't seem to find the solution for this anywhere either.

AA has been changed to Sharpening, and is a slider under the Camera Tab. It’s a lot more powerful too, so you can really ramp up the sharpness.

Check that your GPU meets the requirements, and that you can run DX12.
