Thank you for this tutorial, is there another way to import models with the exact same 3Ds Max materials for example, or do I have to re-assign maps to every map channel

Really great channel!!! You have fantastic tutorials and the fact that you're sharing your experiences with us - like what programs you are using in every step - will make your channel grow rapidly, and I appreciate all your hard work. 🌹

Very helpful, thanks. One question. Is there an option to link the model, so when you change something in the model all of the materials and other twinmotion elements remain?
@dantierandbalogh4 жыл бұрын
Hi Steven, yeah I get you. I believe you can when working in archicad, sketchup, revit, rhino & rikcad - however I use Vectorworks and have to export it as a cinema4d file (so I am unable to). If you luckily work in one of those programs I mentioned, here is the link for the twinmotion plugins : www.unrealengine.com/en-US/twinmotion/plugins Sorry if that wasn't very helpful, I do wish that they would add some more programs to the list, as you can imagine, whenever changes need to be made on the model, I then have to start from scratch on twinmotion🙄 So I usually only do the twinmotion parts right at the end once all the design elements have been agreed. Hope it helps though! Jacqueline😊

Hi, great tutorial, I have a question. I'm using Sketchup, should I just do all my modeling and textures within Twinmotion, leaving my interior just plain whitre and/or shouild I import an empty room and obtain all the models within Twinmotion?
@dantierandbalogh3 жыл бұрын
I would do all the modelling in sketchup and then only materials & lighting in twinmotion. I find that twinmotion is not supposed to be used as a 3D modelling software, its just hard to model in it 😊✌

Looks great! A lot of work put into that! You could swap the light bulb material for self illuminated material too, to save adding lights if you have a lot.

Very clear and excellent video but I've a Problem in twinmotion when I add tree in my project it look like pure dummy tree please help me
@dantierandbalogh4 жыл бұрын
Hi please explain abit more for me! I would say that the problem with twinmotion is that the natural elements seem to look not completely realistic. However I find, once exported they look good. And you can even change the wind levels to make the tree look like its blowing in the wind! I think it looks fairly real? Did you export render the image/ video?
@alexnoussi11463 жыл бұрын
@@dantierandbalogh I second that. At first I was so disappointed by the objects in Twinmotion, but it's due to my hardware incapability. It's get's better with Settings on Ultra and With a full software version. When Exported images are astoning.

What the different keep hierarchy, collapse by material and collapse by all?
@dantierandbalogh4 жыл бұрын
Hi! So when you click keep hierarchy, it means that it 'keeps the hierarchy' that you created in your modelling program. I.e. if you import the model and it has walls, furniture, lighting (I can only assume lol) it will keep them all as separate objects. However, if you select collapse by material, it will make all of the pieces of furniture etc, connected. Meaning that if in your modelling program, both the sofa and curtains were linen, it would connect them both in twinmotion. Meaning that once you place a new material on the curtain, it will also change the material on the sofa, simultaneously. And collapse by all basically means that when you place a material on any piece of furniture in twinmotion, it will then apply that material to your whole model. However for me, when exporting from vectorworks to twinmotion (using a C4D. file format), none of my material history from vectorworks is remembered- meaning that it is essentially collapsed by all instead of by material. Thats why I dont add any materials in vectorworks, and leave all of my materials to twinmotion! This is a crucial step, because when I started using twinmotion, I had NO IDEA why I would select a material and then it would appear on my whole model?! It took me a couple days to find the answer lol 😅😅 I hope that makes sense, I know its really confusing. Jacqueline😊✌

@@dantierandbalogh Glad enough it took you days, I took me till today. 😂😂😂😂😂 To circumvent that, I just made sure to be meticulous on the material on the model before importing into Twinmotion.
