The path tracer is a game changer for TM. We were doing archviz in UE4 and then saw Blender 2.8. It has a beautiful real-time render engine coupled with a traditional path tracer. So we moved away from UE4 and built our pipeline around Blender. Blender is awesome, but there are performance limitations and UE4 is simply more robust, especially when it comes to scattering foliage and dealing with dozens / hundreds of characters. We started evaluating UE5 and it's got some nice features. But it's such a nightmare to set up. If something isn't working right, you can spend hours trying to dive into engine settings to get it to work. Case in point, I lost over 3 hours today trying to get path tracing to work and was never successful. Twinmotion just works. For visualization projects, it's a dream come true. The interface is simple and intuitive. The feature set is now extremely robust. And the ability to combine the best of the realtime environment with true path tracing seals the deal. Great job, Twinmotion team!

Great application. Well done. Please make Path tracer available on Mac M1 pro. Lots of Mac users, stubborn as they are, will not switch to PC just to have full access to Twinmotion full functions. The more people use TM the better.

That's really a great hands on demonstration. very excited to know some cool new features are coming. Some simple wish lists for In-Editor tools- 1. Parametric Walls, Floor, Ceiling, Door-Windows with proper UVS 2. Simple Mass modelling tools like - Face Push pull, Sweep Revolve, Boolean, texture UV mapping 3. Unreal Engine 5 Lumen Lighting 4. Ability for changing Presentation modes UI 5. Simple UI creation and ability to output a presentation with user created UI( By passing built in Presentation UI) 6. Importing Unreal engine marketplace Assets (There are 1000s of assets already there)-materials, Props, Furniture, sound etc. May be some of them are already on the way(next release)

Wow, as an architecture student, this has me really excited for new possibilities with this render. I had already like this software before, but this latest update has addressed and exceeded many of my personal critiques as an individual user. Seeing at the end that compatability with the spacemouse is now here was icing on the cake.

Thanks for this increadble video. Great improvement. I hope soon to see movable parts and bones connections so we can animate movable parts like roller shutters, gates, foldable beds, cabinets and cloths :)

Thanks friend. This webinar showed the often jarring difference between the rt settings and the pt settings. you added yhe sky dome and it looker good. Then you clicked pt and everything turned completely dark! Could you work on having them closer aligned so you don't need to re balance all the lighting when going for pt? Or maybe a better smarter auto exposure for PT?

I would still like to see a world coordinate system in TM. I know there's the measuring tool, but for building entire scenes to specific dimensions, it would be much easier to have coordinates and distances to work with. Also, does the path tracer work with multi-GPUs yet? Last time I checked, it only does the calculation with one. For example, I have two 3060 ti cards in my computer, but one of them sits idle when path tracing is being calculated. I know other GPU rendering solutions can use multiple cards, so it would be nice for TM to have that as well.

Question: while rendering a video or still image and I use the pathtracer, then copy the ambience of the video or image after the pathtracer completes. I then paste that ambiance into another image or video. Will the pathtracer settings from the pathtrace image or video be applied to the new image or video?

From what I understand, it's not supported on mac because they don't have the required hardware/technology. In which case, it's up to apple to fix that.

Do you intend to bring GIS digital terrain model import/editing functionalities into TM? GeoTiff georeferenced, contour lines, Raster Grid, TIN etc?

Can u show a proper way to render animation with pathtracer? what setup to do for normal quality for a middle time period? 2070rtx super sometimes showing me something like 500 hours of rendering ))))

Yes. The video render is extremely extremly slow on a rtx 2070. And for videos you would need big sample count otherwise the video have lots of artefact's. The denoiser does not work with video uunless sample is high. The presentor did mentioned in an earlier video that you can use third party intelligent denoiser but i could not find any

@@HarshSharma-ln6xq Pawel Rymza use Davinci denozer for his presentation 2022 twin work. but resolution of raw render were 6k. any way its too long. i guess UE5 would be better result

Please make fireflies, mist and fireworks assets if it isnt existing? And also, maybe a crane style camera for filming scenes (like a camera with roler coaster) - with gimbal capabilities, bokeh lens flares etc. so the video takes can be seamless and smoother? And also the ability to animate objects like doors opening etc-

I sure would like to use the path tracer function, but I cannot given the hardware limitation on both machines I have access to. Is there a list of compatible graphics cards or minimum specs to use path tracer?

I have one question can the fire and twin motion be reworked in the manner where there is a smaller fire and less black particles and coming from the fire?

Also the replace tool doesnt randomise the multiple types of asset if we load like it use to in earlier version now only one asset at a single time can be replace by multiple existing assets in the scene?? Is it a bug??

Thanks for the video!. I have a question. I'm using twinmotion with an rtx 3090 and the renders are very fast but I can't get the program to use an rtx 3080 at the same time, that is, I would like to be able to render video with the 2 rtx at the same time. This is very interesting to render video with path tracing

3dconnexion it´s not working fine. Strange movements, imposible to work with it. I lost a lot of time trying to fine tuning, but nothing The problem is that the pivot point is linked to the camera and not to an object or some point in the scene to navigate. Seems that this pluging has been implemented for someone that has never used a 3d mouse.
