I hope your family's house is okay. You and Erik are amazing to have your family stay with you through this difficult time. I have had my home and cars flooded with 9 foot hurricane storm surge. The news told us it was only a tropical storm, however , I spent the next 3 years rebuilding my house. Thank God I had an upstairs. It is crazy to think that losing all your family photos, keepsakes, special furniture, cars, would change your life. It does. So I am happy your brother and his family are safe.

I just want to say, you are an amazing aunt! That was so kind of you to let them all come to your place, then let them be a part of your vlog. That really says a lot about a person. Hi Colleen, I know you said this has been a bit of a scary and sad week for you, and I just wanted to say I hope everything went smoothly with the brain scan clinic experience that you took part in. For what it's worth, I went to a similar clinic in my early 30's (we're the same age) and in hindsight, looking back on these sessions now, I feel like it made my anxiety worse and far more pronounced (especially when I did the hooked up to brain waves scanny stuff), whereas before I did the brain clinic, I had way more autonomy over my emotional state and the way I regulated stress and worrying. Hope this helps you in some small way Xxx. ❤

Colleen! An idea for Flynn’s party or for next year with the twins for present opening. It SAVED my sanity when I figured it out. Have special “present opening chairs” and a chair next to the bday person and the person who brought the gift gets to sit right next to the bday person and watch them open their gift. You can also assign a family member to 1. Either write down who gave what, or since they’ll be sitting right next to the person who gave the gift, just take a pic (again, assign someone else at the party so you don’t have to) then you can just look back at the pics later to see who gave what!! Also…have a big plastic bin for them to put the new gifts into. Hugs! You’re awesome!

Hi Colleen, in the spirit of the twins birthday, I re-watched their birth story and while watching it I was reminded of something. I had my third baby 4 months ago by an emergency c-section (the other two kids were vaginal births) and it was the scariest experience of my life. And while I was laying on the table after they took my daughter out I started feeling like I was dying and IMMEDIATELY thought of your video and how you felt the same way. So instead of spiralling and having a panic attack I kept reminding myself that this is normal and I’m going to be ok. OMG I remember the days when the kids just drop a birthday/Christmas present idea last minute. When my daughter was 4, she told Santa 1 week before Christmas that she wanted a green ride on car. First I’d heard of it! The party looked awesome. You put your heart and soul into these things girl ❤❤❤❤❤
