I thought with food combining it goes fruit, carbs/starches, then protein, which you can all eat with veggies. I thought you weren’t suppose to eat your protein before your starches (starches lunch, protein dinner) as proteins take the longest to digest and it results in less bloating. Not an expert but I gave it a go and it certainly helped me
