@bettetetreault1 I genuinely hope your day gets better. We have so many opportunities each day to make someone else smile. Life can feel overwhelming and we don’t know what others are going through and if this channel brings happiness to people, it’s a good thing, because happy people spread happiness. Taking the time and effort to be rude isn’t good for anyone, it’s not an asset and doesn’t look good on you either. I’m hoping you will continue to comment, but in a respectable way, so everyone can enjoy your words and opinions. Isn’t it amazing that these adorable little girls bring smiles to so many different people and ages, from all walks of life by sharing their meals with us each day? Thanks for sharing your family, Alicia 🫶🏻

So that's actually English style eggs. I grew up in the 50s in England for my first 6 years and this is how we ate our eggs back then. What cute egg cups for the girls to use to enjoy their soldier eggs! I had never even heard of soldier eggs before a viewer had mentioned them in a past video post. I hope the girls had fun swinging on the swings at the playground with Nana and Pop-Pop. Anastasia's artistic, creative side is becoming stronger, following in Mama's footsteps. She takes things slow and steady to achieve her desired results. Her toast painting is a masterpiece. I was intrigued watching her carefully scraping yolk off the inside of her egg. Quite unusual for 2 year old children who usually want things done "now" lol . I have noticed both girls wait patiently while Mama is preparing the food for them. And I did laugh out loud when Astasia attempted to return Guinevere's spoon to her. Guin was so adamant , No, a gift once given, stays given lol And when she says I Love It , it's just delightful. Alicia, you are an excellent Mom and teacher. Your girls are going to grow up to be curious about things and you and Walt are gently educating them about life with such patience. You realize the importance of having fun in a childs' development. Anna was concentrating more on the process of scooping and spreading then eating this morning. I've noticed she's a doer and quickly picks up actions like when she saw her dad turn Guin's Easter Egg "machine", she immediately did it with her own machine. Guin seems to have an active imagination by animating inanimate objects. She love to hug things and also refers to anything small as babies. It's fascinating to watch to watch them blossom in different directions.

I have never seen these before. My grandson would have loved it. However I can understand the girls' reluctantly because it is so very different. Given time, the girls will love the egg soldiers. Great idea Alicia! ❤😂❤

I still love dippy eggs, when we were small my mum taught us to play a trick on daddy, we ate all the egg then turned it upside down and placed it back in the egg cup. Daddy would be excited to eat his egg, he'd tap on the egg to find it empty inside, he'd say " Oh no, you've tricked me " We thought it was hilarious. Guess Mummy played a trick on us all. 😊. My daughter and neice loved playing the trick on their Grandad.

My mom made me soft boiled eggs all the time when I was little. Those cups are adorable!

Hello sweet Barton family. Have never heard of soldier eggs until now. My mama would do poached eggs in a cup and put buttered toast in there - when we were sick. Called them sick eggs. Yummy. Anyway, Ana cracked me up how she dipped and painted her toast with the egg yolk. So intense in her meticulous painting! Guin didn't like the egg too much either but loved the toast and the bacon of course. Hope the omelet was good and you had a wonderful time on the swings with Grandparents. Cute that Guin only wants to swing a little bit while Ana wants to swing high up!!! They are so cute!!! Thank you again for sharing.

The artist, Andrew Wyeth, made painting with eggs a popular technique in some of his paintings (known as egg tempera), so maybe Ana's onto something there - LOL! His work is featured in one of my favorite art museums, the Brandywine River Museum. Visitors can tour his actual art studio located a short bus ride away from the museum. It's worth a trip if you are ever visiting or vacationing near Chaddsford, PA. 🎨🖌
